The drive to Glenorchy is an iconic drive in New Zealand. Glenorchy itself is relatively small but has great cafes and walking trails. A number of activities can also be completed here, these include Dart River Safaris and Fun Yaks (kayaking).

The best way to see the area is by plane or helicopter and there is no better operator than the helicopter line. I'd recommend a snow landing helicopter flight as this is incredible.
