Sightseeing

This beautiful scene is only one block away from the house. A must see if you are staying here. When leaving the house, make a left at the sidewalk. Cross Cayuga St. Keep walking down the sloping street. You will see two crosswalks. Once you cross the street, take the small path into the little park like setting and walk to the falls. After absorbing this natural scene, continue up the path and you will arrive on Main St with everything you need to make your day or night rewarding. Take a left, take a right, or cross the street (at the crosswalk or light please).

Food scene

This is a hidden gem, situated between Main St and Glen Ave. Seasonal. Local favorite. Enter inside for old fashioned candy and chocolate, go upstairs to a comic book paradise, or order ice cream outside at the window and relax at one of the picnic tables. Great for kids and adults.

This is 'Tap Room' backwards. Quaint, friendly atmosphere for a surprising selection of various microbrews as well as the popular American and Canadian beers. Menu selection is always good and high quality and care, if you ask me. The bartenders are warm and friendly and if you need time or suggestions from the beer menu, they are knowledgable and patient. Great place to be around good people and watch a game on one of the the flatscreens (I go here to watch the hockey games).

You don't have to go far for a great local hangout that has friendly people and great food and drinks. In the summer time, there is a large outside selection of tables and chairs (and a band) right on Main St. Pizza, large selection of subs (my favorite is the pizza sub), spaghetti and meatballs (all you can eat on certain days), and in my opinion, some of the best buffalo wings in Buffalo. Also has a great fish fry, burgers, etc. Enough TVs to watch the games while you are eating or drinking, or both, either in the bar area or the restaurant area. We frequent this place a lot.

Want to taste authentic Buffalo pizza? This is the place. This is the real deal. Get a slice of cheese and pepperoni and you've just tasted history. The Buffalo wings are good here, as well. They also give 20% off for veterans with ID. They have a few locations around Buffalo, but luck will have it that they placed one right here in the Village of Williamsville.

This restaurant dates back to 1832. You are entering history the moment you walk through the front door. There is also an entrance in the back of the restaurant, as well, if you parked along Spring St. There is a bar area, great for meeting more of the friendly, local people over a fish fry, beef on weck, wings, and good beer while watching one of the games. The restaurant/dining area is classic if you want a more private experience with family or friends. Highly recommended.

An old blacksmith shop from the 1800s restored into a brewery/restaurant. Step back into time and while enjoying the food and the home made beer, imagine the goings on and sounds of an old blacksmith shop. Great indoor experience, lower and upper floors as well as a great outside area with Ellicott creek behind you. Great food selection as well as beer. The 'Billie Haze NEIPA' is a well sought out favorite.

This is an awesome place if you like poke and seafood. Very healthy. We go here often. A little further down Main st across from Williamsville South High School. Definitely recommend to stop in and get a poke bowl. They serve soda and beer here as well. Want something healthy and tasty? This is the place. A couple of miles down Main St is 'New York State's' first and original brew pub (coincidentally, in Hayward, California, 'America's' first brew pub is call 'Buffalo Bills Brewery!' Great food (and of course, beer). Free peanuts and popcorn (and you can throw the peanut shells on the floor). Visiting Buffalo? Try the buffalo wing soup along with the Buffalo Sampler (wings and beef on weck).

Many people by far think that this is the place for the best Buffalo Wings in the world, even though the original buffalo wing was created at the Anchor Bar in downtown Buffalo (go to the Anchor Bar for the t-shirt). I love Duff's wings, and so did my mother, and I highly recommend them, however, their prices for what we grew up with has increased quite a bit. When you grew up in Buffalo a long time ago, it's unbelievable how much wings are nowadays, but worth the price if you are from out of town and want the opportunity to taste what original buffalo wings taste like.
