Phuket's Big Buddha is one of the most important and revered landmarks on the island. The huge image sits on top of the Nakkerd Hills between Chalong and Kata and, at 45 meters’s tall, can be seen from as far away as Phuket Town and Karon Beach.

Rawai Beach, at the south end of Phuket island, is not a beach suitable for swimming, but it offers beautiful views of the nearby islands and has a peaceful local atmosphere. It’s a great place to enjoy some excellent seafood by the ocean and a good starting point to do island hopping.

Ra Wai Beach
ถนน วิเศษRawai Beach, at the south end of Phuket island, is not a beach suitable for swimming, but it offers beautiful views of the nearby islands and has a peaceful local atmosphere. It’s a great place to enjoy some excellent seafood by the ocean and a good starting point to do island hopping.
Nai Harn is a superb beach with soft and smooth white sand tucked between green hills and a couple of tiny islands in the very south of Phuket. More laid back than west coast tourist spots, Nai Harn has enough restaurants, hotels and shops near the beach for a great day and has remained relatively untouched. The protected bay offers great anchorage for sailing boats and luxury yachts and has always been very popular among expats and locals. There is no town nearby but dozen scattered restaurants along the road that goes north.
