Food scene
Great food. Love the Sherwood salads. You can sit on the porch and oversee the lake (probably the best lake view seating in town) or in the tavern. Different feels but the menu is the same (or you can request the tavern menu at any time if they have gone back to their old different menus for the dining room)

26 W Genesee StGreat chill family spot. Closest you can physically get to the lake (view are better at Sherwood). They do have a few seats out back up top on the patio. Great sushi too.

Beautifully designed restaurant with good food. We love the queso and carnitas. Super affordable kids meals and big savers specials on Monday nights. Fun place. If it’s packed I would recommend eating off hours (2-4) if possible. Sitting at the bar can be fun too!

Gorgeous design and impeccable food. If you don’t want to go all out there is a porch and bar area (with comfy seating) where you can go and order tapas and wine. Fun vibes in those areas. The restaurant is delicious but more formal.

A local favorite! Expect lines out the door on a Friday night in the summers. Worth ordering takeout and picking up they have picnic tables behind to eat at outside. Great fish fry and tartar sauce (if getting to go make sure to order extras)!

Gilda’s is very small but delicious! Reminds me more of being in the city. Another great spot to phone ahead for take out. Fire grilled pizzas and tapas are delicious. The meatballs are amazing! Fun rotating bar and tap menu.

If you are looking for a pub we have 3 local options… The Lakehouse Pub, the Blue Goose (part of Blue Water across the street) & Finger Lakes on Tap. There are also bars inside of the Sherwood & Blue Water in the back. This is the best classic bar in town. Lots of folks love their late night beef sandwiches, chicken fingers and wings. Occasional live bands. If you are looking for other local watering holes (aka dive bars to some) and don’t mind a short drive head on over to the Moondance or The Red Rooster or visit the VT (Village Tavern) in neighboring Marcellus. If you head that way be sure to hit up my brother in laws brewery: Riseform (he’s the master brewer), they have delicious beers in a very family friendly setting!
