A day trip to Troodos Mountains driving through the quaint Cypriot villages Including Omodos Village, Lower and Upper Platres and sampling the local cuisine and the fresh produce. A visit to one or two wineries en-route is a must to sample and purchase locally produced wines. Lots of Monasteries to visit including Kykko Monastery.
Do visit Katarina's Sweets to sample the locally produced fresh fruits boiled in sugar and bottled in the syrup which is eaten traditionally with Greek Coffee.
Also recommended is the Caledonian Waterfalls where you can take a swim followed by food and drink at the en-site taverna.
