This is our favorite sushi place in Redding. Opened for only a year, getting a table can be difficult. Fresh, fresh, fresh, Sushi and we love all the appetizers as well. Very reasonable in price.

This has quickly become one of our favorite places for a quick meal but outrageously good, good food at a very affordable price. The sammies are extraordinaire and full of meat and finer cheese selections. We would recommend their prime rib French Dip sandwhich, Rueben, or Taco Tuesday made of their suculent prime rib. They only have four tables and sometimes there is a line for ordering. But they are very close and only about three minutes away.

Great local place for a drink before going to the Cascade.

This is one of the most iconic mountains on the west coast. It usually has snow 12 months of the year and creates it own weather systems for spectacular picture opportunities. It's a pleasant drive from Redding that only takes 45 minutes and the quirky, little town at its base is a fun place to visit.

This national park is considered to be a the "Little Yellowstone". You will see wildlife, wild flowers, and even the mud pots from geysers. Springtime comes late here and you will enjoy spring in June as the snow and ice melts away.

This lake is one of our favorite places to cool down for the summer. The beaches they have are the best we have been to on lake fronts. The state park and lake is exceptionally run. However, like national parks, you will need to pay for admittance upon entering the area or you will be ticketed.

One of the most incredible man made lakes you will witness. Boat rentals are possible. Don't miss going to the Shasta Dam if you visit the lake. There are great waterfront restaurants available to grab some great food.
