Great space for coffee! This place has been in the neighborhood for ages, has a great local reputation, and strong Portland vibes. It's also in a great area to walk with lots of places close by to eat/shop.

Food Scene
Incredible Vietnamese food with a chill atmosphere. One of the most popular restaurants in the neighborhood (with good reason). You will probably have a bit of a wait time because they are so popular, but it is well worth it! My personal favorite items on the menu are the glass noodles and the hum bao.

There are a lot of great burger places in the neighborhood, but this one is my personal favorite. Each burger is named after one of Portland's many bridges, and they can be purchased either as a full sized burger or a slider. They also offer fries with pulled pork/fried chicken and coleslaw on top, which is one of my go-to dinner options. (Be prepared when ordering this, though.. It's a full meal on it's own!)
There is plenty of indoor & outdoor seating, and service is pretty quick even though it's so popular.

PDX Sliders

225 SW Ash StPortland isn't generally known for its fried chicken, but this place is a local treasure! They keep their menu simple, and the quality is incredible. They offer regular or spicy chicken, make a variety of dipping sauces in-house, and their waffle fries are drool-worthy.

They're also family owned and operated, and some of the nicest people. A few of my personal favorites are their mandarin chocolate, oreo, bourbon, and butterscotch flavors.

If your new to this cuisine, try the fried plantains and jollof rice!
