Neighbourhoods

Barmouth (Welsh: Abermaw (formal); Y Bermo (colloquial)) is a seaside town and community in the county of Gwynedd, northwestern Wales, lying on the estuary of the Afon Mawddach and Cardigan Bay. Located in the historic county of Merionethshire, the Welsh form of the name is derived from aber (estuary) and the river's name, "Mawddach". The community includes the tiny villages of Llanaber, Cutiau, and Caerdeon. The town itself is quite in the winter months, perfect for exploring wonderful mountains of the Snowdonia National Park. However it comes to life from Easter onwards and is a bustling seaside town. Sporting shops, restaurants, pubs and the beautiful 1.5 mile promenade and golden beach. It is the perfect place for a day trip or a full summer holiday. If the weather is nice there is no better place to be.

Food scene

A really special restaurant within Barmouth itself. The old NatWest Bank has been converted into a gorgeous restaurant. The food, is all hand prepared and cooked by Ryan, a local award winning chef. You will not be disappointed - but make sure you book ahead. https://www.thebankrestaurantbarmouth.co.uk/
