One of its best features is the gorgeous newly renovated Riverfront Park that spans the banks of the Spokane River throughout the city center. This park has beautiful picnic spots, a classic carousel, a family friendly SkyRide above the waterfall, and a full out door play center for the kids. Enjoy a memorable evening light show under the iconic Pavilion. Another great part of downtown Spokane is all the restaurants and breweries/wineries. Food scene
Fantastic street tacos! Chochinito is one of my favorite restaurants in Spokane. They have an awesome Taco Tuesday. I myself eat there most Tuesday nights! The shrimp taco and carnitas tacos are my favorite. They also have rotating creative tacos weekly. This is a must visit if you like tacos.

Ceviche Restaurant. If you love fresh and tasty, Zona Blanca is a great choice. This is my husbands favorite restaurant! They have incredible ceviche and oysters. Great choice for the adventurous eater and date night.

Wooden City is a great restaurant that is very popular among locals. They have a great atmosphere and tasty food. Try their blistered Hungarian peppers (spicy) or their beet ravioli.

They have won many food awards and continue to have great tasting food. They are primarily pizza and are family friendly. If you are feeling adventurous, try the bahn mi pizza - you won't regret it!
If you are looking for a showstopping view with dinner (or great value on lunch), try Anthony's. They are located on the Spokane River in downtown with a breathtaking view of the falls. Their cuisine is mostly seafood with American classics.

This is a local restaurant with great creative burgers and shakes. This is a great choice if you are wanting a not so run of the mill burger. My favorite is the PB&J burger. It sounds weird, but is so good.

This is an ice cream shop that makes their ice cream by using liquid nitrogen. This makes their ice cream extra creamy! They are locally owned and the ice cream is made daily.

Stella’s Cafe is AKA McRuins. Their specialty is marking homemade versions of fast food favorites. It was featured on Diners and Dives on the food network. There are so many great options on the menu. Arguably the best burger in town is their Frisco Burger.

Sightseeing
If you have not been to Riverfront Park before, this is a must visit. The city recently renovated the entire park and added a huge play area (ice age themed) at the northern edge (very close to the house). If you have kiddos and are looking for a great place to get outside, definitely do not miss this.

Manito Park is one of Spokane’s gems. It is located South of downtown about a 10-15 minute drive from the Airbnb. Throughout the spring, summer and fall this park has beautiful sights, ponds, play areas, and gardens. The park has many gardens including the lilac garden, the Japanese garden, the rose garden, and the spectacular Duncan garden. This is a must see for visitors. It is a great place to bring the family or take a relaxing stroll around the duck pond. This large park is a photographer’s and Instagram lover’s dream.
