You can get onto this trail by walking about 3/4 of a mile to the trail from the house. This runs along a creek so it can get a little slippery and muddy depending on the weather but is a lovely hike. We love taking our dogs on this trail.

This beautiful trail system is a 3.5 mile drive away. There’s nearly seven miles of single-track and double-track trails ranging from 4,700 to 5,400 feet in elevation, which makes this one of the highest mountain biking trail systems on the East Coast.

We love having this park so close! There is a small dog area separate from the main dog park. The view from the park is great as well.

Parking at the resort is 2 miles away from the house! In the winter there is skiing, snowboarding, tubing, and ice skating. Summer activities include mountain biking, disc golf, and weekend yoga.
Checkout their event calendar online for events that may go on during your stay. They also have a brewery at the bottom of the mountain (as well as on the top) if you’re looking for a quick drink!

This is a great brewery in Banner Elk. Our favorite is the Velvet Panda, but we also haven't had a bad beer there yet! Nice spot to hang out at. Alternatively, you can usually find their cans at Fred's.
