Great restaurants to choose from, and lovely outdoor space and shops to explore.
Some of our favorites are Vinos Finos for yummy tapas style meals and great wine!
Farina is great if you are in the mood for Italian ... their pizza is outstanding and basil martini is to die for ;)
There is also very casual sushi restaurant - Sushi One and new modern Mexican restaurant as well.
Another one of our favorites is a French crepe place
Lafayette village has wonderful outdoor seating that makes it easy to enjoy yummy meal or cocktail while social distancing.
It’s also a great place for children to run around or you can bring your four legged friends as well ;)

Must visit, long time favorite is Vivaces ... cute outdoor space, elegant indoor and bar area ... very casual and I would definitely describe the cusine as modern Italian flair...
If you love sushi and burgers Cow Fish is a must try!!! Delicious with fun huge fish tank ... always busy, and very kids friendly.
One of the news additions there is Rosewater ... beautiful outdoor seating in the spring summer and fall ... food and service is outstanding! Highly recommend it!
There is also Capital Grill there and beer lovers shouldn’t miss the Yard House ;)

There are so many wonderful restaurants to choose from in Wake Forest.
Walking distance from the townhouse (literally right behind it ;)) is one of our favorite casual place. -Over The Falls Restaurants. Very cozy atmosphere, always yummy food, gourmet pizzas, and salad are our favorite and it's just a steps away from the back deck.
Bodega - yummy tapas style restaurant. Great cocktails and all within walking distance as well ... located at the end (or beginning) of the Main Street
Mizu Sushi - lovely place, yummy sushi, we love to sit at the sushi bar, pre Covid they had a train running with little sushi plates to grab...
Farm Table - local, fresh local ingredients, great menu, nice bar, casual, kids friendly place that is less than 5 minutes drive from the house.

Children's World
Our favorite place for kids!
Wonderful outdoor and indoor kids venue to explore... you can spent hours there... very cute, natural, educational .... they have a cute cafe on site or just pack your lunch/snack. You can choose from train rides, farm animals, lemur or bear center ... butterfly house, sand boxes and tree houses to climb... its absolutely exceptional place and is #1 in the area. Little ones (and big ones) will love it!

Wonderful place for kids birthday parties as well.
Wonderful local Zoo... clean, well manicured and lots of animals to see... you can start in Africa and make your way to North America or other way around. Wear your comfy shoes as it is quite a walk ... There are cute playgrounds on the property. Definitely worth the visit.

North Carolina Zoo
