Both connoisseurs and newcomers should try the house specialty, mingyue tangbao (明月湯包, NT$120 per basket of eight), the shop’s name for its xiaolongbao. The marks of a good dumpling were all there: the outer flour wrap was delicate and thin but didn’t break when picked up with chopsticks; each dumpling had a good proportion of soup, meat and dough; and the minced pork was lean and tasted fresh.

They have a nice selection of beers and the food is delicious and the service is good too. The price is a little high, but not outrageous. Beers are NT$210 per glass, or you can order 6 beers for NT$999, which makes it significantly cheaper if your party will drink that much. It is on the second floor and they have outdoor seating on the sky walk. If you are coming by MRT, use the Taipei City Hall Station. Walk South to Songgao Rd. and between the Eslite Bookstore Building and the Shin Kong A4 Building there are stairs to the sky walk. Sightseeing

One of the most famous locations in Taiwan, the Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf is well known for its beautiful sunsets, seafood, and, more recently with young people, its high amount of party boats. Within the past few years, the wharf has gone through a major renovation process, building several new buildings including restaurants, hotels, shops, and the Lover Bridge of Tamsui, completed in 2003. At night, the bridge illuminates with a wide variety of colours. Since the wharf is located a bit outside of Taipei City, some visitors choose to stay overnight nearby the wharf. The wharf is located in Tamsui (淡水, Danshui) north of the Tamsui Old Street (淡水老街) area nearby Shalun Beach (沙崙).

The most popular hike in Taipei is popular a reason. The views from Xiangshan (象山), literally Elephant Mountain, are beautiful, even when the weather isn’t. Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall (國立中正紀念堂),The most prominent historical landmark in Taiwan, the CKS Memorial Hall was erected in honor and memory of Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek, the former President of the Republic of China, and was opened in 1980 as part of a national park and gathering area. The name of the square is officially Liberty Square (自由廣場), as seen above the front gate, however the name change was politically motivated and most people in practice still refer to the entire complex as CKS Memorial Hall. Taipei 101 is an engineering marvel and the first building of its kind in the world. Spanning 101 stories above the ground at 508 metres, the building was designed as a symbol of technology's evolution fused with Asian tradition. The building features many pan-Chinese and Asian elements mixed with a postmodern style, and is designed to withstand typhoons and earthquakes common in Taiwan. Essentials

Described as a Whole New Food Shopping Experience - it does its best to bring a Western feel to the grocery experience. It has a pretty good section of wine and cheeses along with other imported products and brands. Don't expect everything to be there and look at the prices as some of the things can be expensive. Overall its pretty good and a very close and convenient alternative to the local Welcome grocery store.
