Food Scene

You'll smell the great food as you walk down the street towards it. Pizzas are great, as are the steaks, but make sure you check out the specials, there's always something good on there.

Probably the best restaurant in Hull. The menu changes seasonally and it can be quite expensive, but everything they do is always fab. If you can, go on a weekday as they do a market menu that it much cheaper than the a la carte.

A great restaurant that you'd never just stumble across. You'll need to drive as a taxi would be quite expensive, but it really is worth it. Excellent food and quite reasonable prices too.

Drinks & Nightlife

Probably our favourite pub in Cottingham. It's nicely decorated, never too busy or loud and is the perfect place to warm up in the winter if you can get a table near the fire.

Lovely old pub in the village of Walkington. It's an ideal place to go for Sunday lunch. If you do go, make sure you have the steak and ale pie, it's the best around and won't break the bank.

Entertainment & Activities

The Deep is a real 'must do' when visiting Hull. A great way to spend an afternoon, whether you're with kids or not. The displays are amazing and so informative. Along with the fish, you can also see some pretty impressive sharks, travel through the aquarium in a glass elevator and, best of all, they also have penguins!
