Restaurants, gas, groceries are downtown Perry one mile north:
Charlies is the pub right downtown Perry, great pizza and other “pub grub”, 136 N Main St, 517-625-3323 east side of the street. (M-52 becomes Main St in town)
We love the pizza at Brent’s Pizza, 517-625-4115, 123 N Main St, take out only, and there is Hungry Howies, in the plaza behind McDonalds, 517-625-5555 or HungryHowies.com.
There is another good sports bar, Café Sports, on M52 closer to the light at Lansing Rd, also Chinese takeout at China Gardens (huge portions) 3060 Britton Rd, 517-625-6888. New to Perry with excellent barbecue, is Johnny V’s Smoke Shack, next to China Gardens.
Plus there are a variety of fast food options, Subway, Jersey Giant, Burger King, Taco Bell and McDonalds and a family restaurant at the truck stop/gas station at the NW corner of M52 and Lansing Rd.

City/town information
Williamston is about 15 minutes south of us. There are high end restaurants, a great gastro pub, antique shopping and a car show sometime in the summer.

East Lansing is about 20 minutes from us to the SW. It is home of MSU, where you will find the Broad Art Museum, campus museum, several botanical gardens, and of course sports arenas and productions at the Wharton Center. In the city there is shopping, fun pubs and restaurants.

Downtown Lansing is about a 30 minute drive to the west of us. There you can tour the State Capitol, a very nice MI History Museum, a kids hands on museum, "Impression 5", an auto museum, lots of restaurants downtown, and home to a minor league baseball team, the Lugnuts.

Hawk Hollow Golf Course, and Eagle Eye Golf Course are about 25 minutes west of us. Both are highly rated, and for non-golfers there is a putting course, all natural, not really mini-golf, but 9 holes or more.

Hawk Island is 30 minutes SW of here. There is a play scape, a beach, a walking trail around the lake, a splash pad, as well as pavillions that can be rented.

Lake Lansing Park South is about 20 from us. It is a good sized all sport lake with a public beach on the west side and boat launch on the north side. You can rent paddle boats, swim, there is a nice play area for kids.

CrossRoads Village is about a 40 minute drive NE of us. There is a historical village, some old time rides, food areas, and old riverboat and train. In the fall and in December they are completely decorated - beautiful!

Peacock Road Tree Farm is open seasonally, check with them before going. There are some older historical buildings, weddings on site, an animal petting area, a track for their "racing pigs", in the fall there are wagon rides to the pumpkin patch, Christmas time there are "train rides" to Santa's cabin, pictured. Food served in the big barn and sweets in the little cabin.

It is a Bavarian town, with cute shops and big restaurants that feature chicken dinners with huge portions, the waitstaff all in leiderhosen, a little bit kitchy attire, but good food! The Bavarian Inn has a bakery, shops, and restaurants all on site. The River Shop area has lots more wonderful shops, including one of our favorites in MI, The Cherry Republic. There is a new brewery in town, a water park, and many Inns and hotels.

Frankenmuth is 55 minutes NE of here. It is a Bavarian town, with cute shops and big restaurants that feature chicken dinners with huge portions, the waitstaff all in leiderhosen, a little bit kitchy attire, but good food! The Bavarian Inn has a bakery, shops, and restaurants all on site. The River Shop area has lots more wonderful shops, including one of our favorites in MI, The Cherry Republic. There is a new brewery in town, a water park, and many Inns and hotels.

Things to see and do
Don't miss our campy little ice cream shop, King Cone, just north of us on M52. Also right in Perry, Swan Creek Candle Factory, very pretty little shop, smells great, wonderful candles. For kids to play, the Perry elementary school has a decent little playground, also great ones in Williamston in the city park and E. Lansing at Patriarch Park, off of Saginaw.
Meridian Mall, Okemos, 20 minute drive, movies, stores, restaurants of all kinds. Also at the mall is High Caliber Racing and Entertainment, with indoor high speed electric go karts with 2 courses, a bar, axe throwing, and arcade.

Burgdorf winery
The winery is in Haslett, not far from us. Call ahead for hours. Tastings on site. There are 3 Breweries near Perry: MI Brewing Works. Old Nation Brewery, and Elliston Brewery and Spirits.
