Sightseeing/Things to Do
Just outside the gates of Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park has so much to offer for everyone. Restaurants, sweet treats, adventure parks, wildlife, museums, breweries, etc. Visit Downtown on Elkhorn Ave to stroll the main drag. Other areas with business include Moraine Ave (Main Entrance to RNNP), St Vrain Ave and the area near the Stanley Hotel.

One of the most beautiful (and busy) areas of RMNP. A base camp for many incredible trails for all hiking levels. Don't miss a visit to this spot in RMNP. From a super easy stroll around Bear Lake to many longer/more difficult hikes, this trail head will lead you to whatever hiking, fishing or wilderness adventure your group is looking for.

Bear Lake Trailhead
Bear Lake RoadOne of the most beautiful (and busy) areas of RMNP. A base camp for many incredible trails for all hiking levels. Don't miss a visit to this spot in RMNP. From a super easy stroll around Bear Lake to many longer/more difficult hikes, this trail head will lead you to whatever hiking, fishing or wilderness adventure your group is looking for.
If you can only do one hike... do this one. It's a great hike in the Summer months and a beautiful snow shoe trail in the winter months. The view from Emerald Lake to Hallet Peak is one of the most iconic and famous shots in the park.

If you are in RNMP in the Winter time? This is OUR favorite snow shoe trek to do when there is snow. You can rent snowshoes from a rental shop for under $10.

For an added adventure, you can drive on the old Fall River Rd (One way dirt road ) to the Summit and take Trail Ridge Road (Paged - 2 lane) . We often see Moose and Elk on this road. One time we saw a Mama Moose and her baby cow.

Food scene
Call ahead to check restaurant hours and if they take reservations. Hours can vary greatly from Summer to Winter months. Estes is so busy in the Summer/Fall months that it's best to plan ahead and reserve a spot if you can.

Glacier Gorge is an incredibly beautiful area of RMNP. This trail head leads to many spectacular waterfalls and lakes. Our favorite is Sky Pond....which gives you an opportunity to climb/scramble up a waterfall to the lake in the sky! Views of Sharks Tooth ridge are amazing.
Other destinations from Glacier Gorge - Mills Lake, Loch Vale, Black Lake Alberta Falls (only 1 mile from TH).
