Brunswick Heads is a lovely small beach town with amazing cafes, lots of cute shops, a great pub with live music and fabulous beer garden with play area for kids. The river and Torakina beach are great for swimming. There is boat & SUP hire available, 2 playgrounds, Brunswick Picture house with live comedy and cabaret, health food shop and visitor centre. Footbridge is a favourite place for food & coffee, but really you can’t go wrong with any of the cafes in Bruns. Take a walk on the break wall at sunset.
Brunswick Heads Markets are on the first Saturday of the month.

Ocean Shores beach is dog friendly and much quieter than Byron Bay. The local shops include Coles, Target, sushi, a Tavern, bottle shop, chemist, post office, bulk whole foods, dentist and doctors. Water Lily park is tucked away on Yamble Drive, a must if you have kids, with amazing new equipment that the local community has spent years bringing to the community. There is a Farmers Market on Tuesday mornings at New Brighton 8-11am.

Ocean Shores
Ocean Shores beach is dog friendly and much quieter than Byron Bay. The local shops include Coles, Target, sushi, a Tavern, bottle shop, chemist, post office, bulk whole foods, dentist and doctors. Water Lily park is tucked away on Yamble Drive, a must if you have kids, with amazing new equipment that the local community has spent years bringing to the community. There is a Farmers Market on Tuesday mornings at New Brighton 8-11am.
Mullumbimby is a scenic town situated at the foot of Mount Chincogan beside the Brunswick River. Known fondly by the locals as ‘Mullum’, this hippy hub is a 15min drive from Ocean Shores. Plenty of cafes, restaurants and interesting/quirky shops.
The Mullumbimby Community Markets take place on the third Saturday of each month in Summers Park on the corner of Stuart and Myocum Streets. The stalls range from handmade home wares and fashion to fresh produce and exotic foods.
The Mullumbimby Farmers Market is held Fridays from 7am to 11am at the Mullumbimby Showground. There is lots of free parking, farm-fresh local produce, and great coffee.
Mullum also has an outdoor swimming pool, skate park, golf course IGA, post office, pubs, chemist, doctors, dentist and large Woolworths supermarket.
