Favorite Food Spots

Here are some of my favorite spots. Keep in mind I like to eat on a budget so these aren't the fancy places, but I think you will enjoy yourself nonetheless. All of these places are just a short walk away.
This is a great breakfast spot and just around the corner. They have a different special each day, but I usually stuck with the eggs benedict which was delicious. I found the lunch and dinner to be a little less desireable.

They have a 2 x 1 drink special until 6pm. The margaritas are huge and worth it at 100 pesos each, but it is a great deal when you get two at that price. We liked the whole grilled fish with extra garlic (mojo de ajo), the fish and shrimp tacos, and the arrachera was delicious.

The gelato is very good. It makes a nice spot to have a dessert and cafe after eating out. The food is quite good too including the shrimp burrito and the queso fundido.

You have to try the al pastor (marinated pork with pineapple). I prefer flour (harina) tacos, but you have to order a little differently as most of their tacos are corn tortillas. I also like the bistek and arrachera, and my preference is to add cheese (so a quesadilla really). This place makes for a very inepensive meal.

The octopus is some of the best I have ever had which includes some very fancy restaurants. I tend not to eat it as it is rarely done right, but this place is an exception. This is only open at lunch and closes early. It gets crowded.

This is only open at lunch and closes early. It gets crowded.

A really large pizza that fed a family of 4 was 200 pesos.
Authentic Italian food in the heart of Bucerias, who knew? The pasta is home made and done really well. The pizzas are great too. As they have become more popular they have become a little more pricey (like 210 pesos for small pizza), but still worth at least one trip.

This is worth a visit, especially if you want some tasty baked goods like croissants, cheesecake and other tasty treats. Their breakfast is very good too including the eggs benedict and croque madame. I bought some of the day old baked goods at half price and they were delicious. Take a look.

Nice spot to hit a 2 x 1 happy hour given its proximity. They have food specials every day too and you can eat and drink for very cheap in a friendly environment.
