My recommendations when it comes to breakfast in Rotterdam, both close to our house but also in the rest of the city.
A great place nearby our apartment to eat the loveliest (and healthy!) breakfast. Small place but great food and staff. Try the acai bowl!

Breakfast place in American style. They serve great coffee, good food and the staff is very friendly. If you're longing for some good pancakes or eggs on toast, this is the place to be.

Hands down the very BEST place in Rotterdam to have breakfast. Everything is just great about this place: from the friendly staff to the great food and coffee they serve. On a sunny day you can sit outside which is the absolute best!
Again a great place for good coffee (best in town according to some). Casual but trendy place with a good vibe.

Quite a new place but it deserves all good publicity: a great place, very humble and friendly owners. Their kitchen is a nice fusion between Middle Eastern food with a certain touch of modernity. Love it!

Check the calendar of Maassilo! Every now and then they have cool parties in any kind of music.
Feel like going for a break from the bustling city center? Go to the zoo! Very close to the house (just a 15 min walk) and very relaxing to be around animals.

The place to be during the weekends! Just a 15 min walk away from the house, this is a great place to hang out and have fun. The name comes from what you can do in the place: ball games. But that's not all: you can also have lunch or dinner in a market kind of way, you can just hang out on the cool sofa's, play a game of table tennis or even go for a round of karaoke!

Great place for food and drinks, very close to our house. The owner (Tines is her name) is lovely and very welcoming. On weekends it can be quite full so be early (around 6-ish PM) or make a reservation. Or just go with the flow!
