My Favourite Breakfast Spots
Best for feeling like a local, a fairly quick but amazing breakfast, and bagels bagels bagels! Worth the trip down the Bedford highway, Izzy’s has breakfast bagels and lunch bagel sandwiches covered. I’d even wager they could rival a Montreal bagel shop for supremacy and I lived in Montreal for a time.

Directly across the street from the house, there is a path between the houses that leads you to the Oceanview and Nine Mile Drive Park area. There is a playground as well as a small gravel walking loop around a pond.

Across the Highway off Larry Uteck Blvd. There is a small trail system that is popular for walking and swimming.
Take the second entrance to Amesbury Gate (just after the Kearney Lake plaza on your right). There is a small parking lot on your left before the first house.

A lovely small beach with swimming, boat launch, and playground area situated only a few minutes away.
Take Larry Uteck through the traffic circles, and cross over the highway. At the lights turn left onto Kearney Lake Road. Take the first right after the lake onto Hamshaw Drive. Parking Lots are available on Hamshaw Drive as well as on Saskatoon Dr.
Kearney Lake Beach

Off the back side of Kearney Lake there are several wilderness hiking trails.
Parking and access to these trails is at the end of Collins Road (Take Larry Uteck trough the traffic circles, and cross the highway. Turn left onto Belle St., Belle turns into Collins Rd.) and in the Maskawa Aquatic Club parking lot at the end of Saskatoon Road (Larry Uteck through the traffic circles, and cross over the highway. At the lights turn left onto Kearney Lake Road. Take the first right after the lake onto Hamshaw Drive. Turn right onto Saskatoon Drive.)
Hobsons Lake Trail

Lovely paved walkway and playground directly on the Bedford Waterfront. A popular place for mackerel fishing off the docks in the summer. Public Boat launch and beach volleyball court also available at the end of Waterfront Drive.
