Our Favorite Places to Eat
Some of the places in town we like to eat!
This is our essential go to for both lunch and dinner. The pizza is excellent and sold by the slice. The rest of the menu is top notch with yummy weekly specials. It wont break the bank. Before Station Bar & R&R moved into town this was our go to drink spot. Beer and wine only but excellent selection. Plenty of outdoor seating a plus! Not every night of the week but call for their Live Music schedule!

Great locally sourced breakfast and lunch spot. They do a really nice job but it ain't "diner cheap". However you get what you pay for in terms of local fresh ingredients and decent portions. Limited alcohol but they do serve.

VEGAN. And delicious. In fact their breakfast is so good, you'll quickly forget that you're missing bacon and eggs. Beautiful secluded and quiet garden with lots of seating. Redesigned interior just gives super good vibes. another dream boat of an owner and staff. Highly recommended.

This place is both a farmers market and a small cafe. The exterior seating can not be beat in the nice weather. Excellent views of Overlook Mountain and a safe spacious lawn for excitable kids if you got some, makes for one of the more relaxing brunch/lunch spots in town. An easy but CAREFUL walk down the 212, away from town. Again lots of local goodness, fresh squeezed juices and yummy food.

I would say our kids are really the driving force behind our weekly visits to Nancys abut it is damn good....

Not just beer but also an excellent small bites and limited plates menu. Kid friendly, theres a small patio in the back that boasts the only creek side dining in town. Even though it looks like the other end of town, you can absolutely walk to it. Meghan the owner is a dream.

Parks & Nature
Somewhat strenuous uphill hike to a gorgeous overlook of the Hudson Valley. You will need a ride up to the trail head. Might be able to hitch a ride from the bottom of the mountain on busy days.

This great little stroll through the woods is easy to get to both by foot or car. Located a short distance from ART ANNEX its a nice easy walk through fields, woods and by streams (you can take a dip!). Might be able to catch a pick up soccer game up top if you're lucky!

Great school playground. Easy walk, bike or drive from the hotel. Shade and a couple picnic tables for the adults, lots of equipment for the kids.

This is a secluded and deep water hole just outside of town. We provide beach towels and trash bags if needed. Definitely pack it in, pack it out and NO BATHROOMS. May need passes this year.
