The newly renovated Jackson View Landing includes improved parking, a restroom facility, an aluminum floating dock, space for boat trailers, a rehabilitated boat ramp, and new signage. Leon County’s project allows citizens to now enjoy a picnic table area with grills, an observation pier to view wildlife, as well as an information kiosk featuring news and events.

Rivers range from sparkling clear flowing waters where an array of wildlife can be seen, including the ever popular manatee, to dark, tannin stained rivers that weave throughout a dense and lush tropical-like forest where cypress, palms and limestone outcroppings can be viewed. Each river promises its own mystique as you paddle along its mesmerizing current toward another bend of surprise.
If paddling at your own pace is more your speed, then join us as we make our way through a maze of cypress trees and lily pads in an adventure you won’t soon forget. Complete with alligators, turtles, ospreys and wading birds, it provides an exploration that is sure to leave all of your senses satisfied. We also offer a full moon paddle once a month on Lake Jackson. Each month we paddle out through the lily pads and watch the sun set, we then turn around and meander back beneath the light of a full moon. The experience is incredible and worth checking out.
