I recommend taking the DART to Howth village. Enjoy the spectacular cliff walk and lighthouse at Howth summit. Afterwards you'll have worked up an appetite to enjoy one of the many fine seafood restaurants on the pier. Wash it down with a pint of Guinness!

Wander around the beautiful grounds of Trinity College. Check out the famous Book of Kells and The Long Room library. If the weather's good, kick back and enjoy a cricket match on the pitch. Afterwards I recommend exploring the National Art Gallery which is close-by.
