Old coaching town which has always been a hub. Great places to eat and drink and an international art gallery is opening up in September. Museum and Sexy's Hospital chapel well worth a visit.

The smallest city in the UK with unique cathedral. Wednesdays and Saturdays are market day with lots of artisan food makers. The Bishops Palace is worth a visit too set in beautiful grounds.

You can no longer get near the stones and it is expensive to walk around, but it's on everyone's tick list. Personally, just as good a view from the road and then nip to the quiet 'Woodhenge' for free

A MUST. Amazing stately home and art. The Long Room is worth going for alone. Good tea to be had too. Dogs have a very good exercise area but not allowed in the house or gardens.

Come and look for dinosaurs and fossils then have a BBQ on the beach. Dogs allowed in the summer in the evenings on the beach.

If you are into bird life bring your binoculars, a very unique environment, reed beds and flooded planes make up the Somerset Levels and the basket center is very interesting.

Try and find Roger Wilkins's Cider House. He brews it himself and his cider house is the one thing you will never forget, however much you drink. A great host and a TRUE Somerset man.
