While every room in McMenamins is interesting and comfortable, probably the best thing about it is their hours - you can count on them to be open to eat and drink early for breakfast/brunch and late for closing down the town!

Drive from Dayton, south on Rt 221 to Wallace Marine Park. The drive is spectacular through some of the most beautiful farm land in the US! It's the Willamette Valley at its' best! There are wonderful walking trails through Wallace Marine Park and a pedestrian bridge that takes you over the Willamette River to Salem's Riverfront Park offers amazing views. No matter what your age - seeing over 40 hand-carved carousel horses on the Riverfront Carousel is amazing. Each horse has its' own sponsor and a unique story.
