Chef Cara Stadler is brilliant, and well deserves all the accolades she's earned as one of "10 Young Chefs to Watch in 2016" (Condé Nast Traveler), "Best New Chef" (Food & Wine), and "Rising Star Chef" (James Beard Foundation), among others. The food celebrates local ingredients in inspired dishes that often combine Asian flavors with French techniques. The vibe is elegant and serene and intelligent, but never arrogant or pretentious -- I always feel totally delighted and pampered when I dine at Tao Yuan. If time & budget permit, opt for the chef's blind tasting menu. Wednesday evenings offer the tasting menu at a discount!
