Parks & Nature
Yosemite National Park Tioga entrance (by Tuolumne Meadows) is only 40 miles up the scenic hiway 395. We get snacks in Lee Vining, and then head up to the park. If you don't have the park pass, and don't want to pay the $35 fee, there are lovely spots right near (outside) the gate that you can access for free. June Lake Loop is nearer as an alternative.
