About 2 hours drive from the cottage via M4. Visit the 2000 year-old Roman baths and Abbey, magnificent Georgian Royal Crescent, stroll over Pulteney Bridge, one of the four world remaining inhabited bridges and appreciate its picturesque horseshoe pier, try the delicious “Sally Lunn’s buns”, take a look at maps and folk art from Colonial to the Civil War times at the American Museum in Britain.
