Their scones, cookies & pastries are beautiful & delicious! They offer sandwiches, but I haven't tried them yet.

They have the best German food in Deutschtown on the Northside! The schnitzel & kielbasa selections are great! Get the apple strudel for dessert, but plan on sharing!

Restaurant and brewery in a beautiful repurposed church. Great inspired foods & beers. I like to try the perogies specials. One of the best was the alligator perogies, but they have traditional ones that are also quite tasty.

Arts & Culture
This is a very very small gallery located on the 2nd & 3rd floors of Wood Street Train Station downtown. They have had some of the most interesting installations that I have experienced. I LOVE this tiny gallery! Closed Mon & Tues & during exhibit turn-overs (Quarterly). There are many other art galleries in this area to check out also.

Randy Gilson created and shares this place to be, to gather, to enjoy alone or with others. Stop at Allegheny market just down the street, pick up a sandwich & drink, & have a picnic at Randyland. If you are lucky to see Randy while you visit, make sure to say hello. He is a most welcoming host! Check out his international arrows painted by visiting guests and named "Randyland Ambassadors". Randyland is a place of color and objects - eye candy.

Shopping
This strip has all types of international & specialty food shops & restaurants. Penn Mac is an old Italian market that also has the most extensive cheese shop that I have ever seen. Stamoolis (Mediterranean) has the best spiced olives and great selection of feta cheeses. Reyna Foods (Mexican) has freshly made tortillas, (if you are lucky to be there while they are making them, you can watch), & a HUGE selection of chili sauces. Even though this a touristy spot, I still shop for many food items here.
