It's the closest pub to the flat and one of the most popular in Brighton. Screens the big games. Has good grub and a roof terrace that's heated in winter. Gets very busy.

Its proximity to the flat is handy if you can't be bothered to cook and if you look hard enough there are some true gems. This Japanese street food place won second place in the first food awards of 2017. The skewers are to die for! Booking advised.

Also has meat and potato options. It's a brilliant, healthy, tasty and cheap lunch stop. Recommend the sweet potato, fig and chilli salad
