Bonus: they're connected to the locally renowned Top's liquor, so if you were thinking of bringing the party home for the night - they have an awe inspiring selection of craft beer, wine and liquor. Trust me... this place is lush heaven.

If you want a night out on Mill, but you're not so sure about the clubs and college bars - this is a good spot for you. Lively, but with a more grown up vibe than it's more obnoxious neighbors. On the weekends there is almost always live music, and it is almost always really good!

Make it a date, and have a lovely (though expensive) sunset dinner at Gertrudes in the garden. C'est tres romantique!
Also - check the calendar, there are live performances throughout the cooler months of the year!

It's a short and easy hike up to the rock, but the view! This is a popular spot for view seekers, so I would recommend going right before sunrise. Sunset is beautiful too, but a little more crowded.

Getting Around
Light Rail station closest to the house.
The light rail is the best way to get to Downtown Phoenix. The line also runs through Tempe to Downtown Mesa.

Look for the little blue shuttle busses. These are free, and run throughout Tempe. There are stops scattered all along 5th, and busses generally come by every 15 minutes.
