I sugget taking a ferry ride out to Peaks island. Nice short ferry ride but enough to really see the bay.
And Peaks island is super cool.

This lighthouse can be biked to in 15 minutes. Well worth the trip. You can walk out on the breakwater to the lighthouse.
There are tours of the lighthouse in the summer.
It's usually not too crowded. This lighthouse is my favorite.
