OK, OK it is a bit away from StA but you may be over this way. It's been a while since I have been over myself. Used to be, hands down, the best steaks in the country but everywhere else has improved since then so now is just very, very good. Restaurant can be booked. Chop House is turn up and wait.

Take a non-landing trip on the Calmac out of Mallaig but you need to plan for it as you'll need to stay overnight up this way somewhere. If you get the right weather this is tremendous. I've also done this in the wrong weather and spent the whole journey cuddled up on a couch trying to keep my food down. Unsuccessfully!
