Seven Glaciers offers excellent food, service, and views. Perched on Mount Alyeska in Girdwood it's a short tram ride (tram cost included if reservations made) to the restaurant and a spectacular view of Turnagain Arm. It is approximately a 50-minute drive to Alyeska from downtown Anchorage. Prices are on the spendy side, but worth the expense and trip.

Arts & Culture

The Alaska Native Heritage Center, a renowned cultural center and museum in Anchorage, is an exciting place where all people can come to expand their understanding of Alaska's Indigenous people including exhibits and demonstrating Alaska Native artists. Guests can also walk through six authentic life-sized Native dwellings situated in a wooded area around beautiful Lake Tiulana and are introduced to the traditional life ways of the Athabascan, Inupiaq/St. Lawrence Island Yupik, Yup’ik/Cup’ik, Aleut, Alutiiq, and the Eyak, Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian peoples.
