One of my favorites! Especially on a gray or cold day! The conservatory and it's amazing plant and floral displays, as well as the small zoo, are open 365 days/year for a free will donation.

Parks and Trails
Big classic neighborhood park a few blocks away. Nice paved loop trail for a morning walk. Step in the wilderness at the southern end of the park by following the brick yard trail all the way down the bluff to the Mississippi with lovely viewing spots along the way. The nature trail is aggregate, not paved, with a few strategic benches along the way for a rest. About a 90-minute to 2-hour ramble, but if you can do inclines faster than us, you can make it shorter!

Beautiful walk around the lake, beach access and splash pad, one of a kind China garden and Hmong plaza. Fishing, canoeing, paddle boards.
