Security Measurements
Mexico City is a beautiful and dynamic city, and the people are super friendly. But as a large capital, you always have to be careful of what you are carrying around as a tourist. Here are some things to avoid: don’t use flashy or expensive jewelry. Avoid carrying cameras, laptops, iPods, costly watches, cellphones, etc., that can be attractive for pick pokers. To move around, it’s best to walk or rely on rideshares more than street cabs. Ladies, you won’t like this, I know, but avoid walking on your own or wearing uncovered clothes in not tourist areas.

Rideshare
Rideshare such as Uber or Lyft is usually the best way to move around, and besides, they are not so expensive. I still recommend that you verify your driver's information and share your rides with others every time you hop on a car.
