Awesome place to see our beautiful coastline and meet the NZ fur seal. Please give them plenty of space and respect that this is their home. They do bite and will chase you if you get too close. They can move very quickly!!

Great place to go for a walk around
This is such an awesome place to visit! Has all sorts of crazy stuff made out of metal bits and pieces. Steam punk inspiration comes from the Victorian Age from 1837 to 1901. It features anachronistic technologies or retro futuristic inventions as people in the 19th century might have envisioned them. Includes fashion culture architecture and art. There is an awesome shop in the old precinct area than sells clothing and accessories
Definitely worth a visit!

The food is awesome!! The place has a great atmosphere and beautiful views into the harbour. Also has a great outdoor seating area that has plastic blinds on it that can be shut to shelter you from the wind

This is an all time favourite of mine. Best to visit at low tide but absolutely stunning views at any time. Walk down through the tunnel at the bottom of the hill to an awesome little beach. It’s a bit of a walk so does help if you’re reasonably fit and able. Especially for the walk back up. Quite steep in places

If you visit here either esky morning or later in the afternoon you may see some Yellow Eyed Penguins coming in or going out. They are an endangered species. There will be volunteers there during the day and you may not be allowed into the actual beach but they have an excellent viewing area

This is a great walk the hill in Palmerston. There’s a memorial at the top with great 360 degrees views. Takes about 1 1/2hrs.
