Fiskmarkaðurinn is a really good fish and seafood restaurant. I had the tasting menu few days ago. This place is perfect for a special occasion or a fancy dinner out while in Iceland. It´s very popular place so you might need to book a table in advance.

Valdís ice cream store is located in an old fisherman´s hut, just few steps away from Matur og Drykkur restaurant. Valdís place is Incredibly popular with locals and tourists alike. Valdís serves unusual ice cream flavors in delicious home made waffle bread. It is also a plus that you can have a taste of the ice cream before you buy.

Sundhöll Reykjavíkur (Reykavík thermal pooll) is located across the street (5 minutes walking distance). The swimming pool is the oldest thermal pool in Iceland, built 1937. There is pool area indoors for swimming. Outside there are two hot tubs and a steam room. The entrance fee for the thermal pool is only 900 ISK per person. Remember to bring towel an bathing suits.
