Food Scene

The Wednesday Night Market at the Chamorro Village is MUST SEE for visitors. The entire village park is lined with street vendors selling local arts and crafts and of course sweet and savory treats from BBQ chicken on a stick to shaved iced and caramel corn. Live music, dancing, and cultural entertainment. To beat the crowds, best time to go is between 4-5PM every Wednesday night. The crowds start coming after 5pm. Best to park across the street from the main entrance - crosswalk/crossing guard on duty when you cross the street. This is just 8-10min. drive from Casa Bella.

Simply the best bakery and coffee shop on island. The signatures are the giant cinnamon rolls and croissants. If you're looking for a healthier alternative, try the Vegan Smoothie (Bananas, Almonds, Dates, Honey). I stop here almost every morning to get my coffee and breakfast smoothie. They open at 7AM daily except for Sundays. This is just 8-10min. drive from Casa Bella.

The Plaza de Espana is a hisoric park in Agana with Spanish ruins that used to serve as the Governor's Palace from 1734 until the invasion of Guam by Japan in World War II. The surviving or restored structures include the Azotea, Chocolate House, Tool Shed, Siesta Shed and Spanish Walls. The Governor's Palace housed the office and residence of the Spanish Governor. It was totally destroyed in 1944 during the liberation of Guam. However, portions of the foundation may still be seen. (info from Wikepdia). This is a must see if you're into history and culture. The park is located near the Latte Stone Park and directly across the Guam Museum and the Agana Cathedral Basilica. This is just an 8-10minute drive from Casa Bella.
