The Gite has it's own private entrance. Guests enter through an iron gate, down a flight of steps to a blue front door that leads into the charming kitchen which has been updated to include a washer dryer, oven, fridge and dishwasher. This leads through to a sitting room with a dinning table. There are two sofas, one is a sofa bed. Three big windows look out to the gardens and countryside beyond. Upstairs is the master bedroom with a brand new kingside bed with hotel mattress and next door, a twin bedroom. The recently renovated bathroom is across the landing and features a lovely claw foot tub and new shower. Outside the Gite has a private terraced garden area with two patios, one a sun trap and the other a shady retreat. The pool can be reached by a stone staircase from the terrace above. The pool is shared with the B&B guests, but is never busy! It is a wonderful spot to sunbath, relax, read and play!
The Gite at Le Chevalier Noir is a haven of peace and beauty, nestling on the northern slopes of a sublimely beautiful medieval hill top village. The village of Cordes sur Ciel will delight you and merits a thorough exploration. You should wander the winding cobbled streets, marvel at the ancient covered market and browse the shops, galleries and artisan workshops. The view from the top of the town is spectacular and the view of Cordes from the surrounding countryside is awe inspiring, particularly at dawn when mist often hangs in the surrounding valleys giving the impression that the ancient citadel is floating on the clouds. The phenomenon informs the name of a village that was voted the most popular in France in 2014.

-Spend a day or more visiting some of the best Chateaux in the Gaillac wine region to taste and stock up on wine for your visit and to take back home.
