Perfectly located for Truro (Treliske) hospital or visiting Truro and the locality for work and pleasure, this shared guest accommodation is incredibly convenient for all main transport routes across the county and beyond. Whether your stay is for a stint working at the hospital or to discover the delights of Cornwall, it's the perfect spot.
The house is a modern, warm, light space, which has been thoughtfully decorated and equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible. In a quiet, pretty estate with easy on-street parking, it offers independent check-in, a shared, well-equipped kitchen, plenty of bathroom facilities and South-West facing sheltered outdoor space. You are minutes from lots of amenities, but you can also access the stunning Cornish countryside from your doorstep.
This warm, modern house is situated in a lovely, quiet cul-de-sac on the edge of Truro. We have redecorated the house to create a calm, peaceful and well-designed space that will provide you with everything you need for a relaxed and comfortable stay. As the house is reasonably new it benefits from being well-proportioned, with working, new windows and well-insulated rooms. The house has 5 guest rooms with plenty of communal space so guests can move about independently without queuing for facilities, or can enjoy each other’s company as desired. All rooms have individual door locks.
We think you will be very comfortable in this medium-sized, quiet double room. The space is light, bright, and freshly decorated with views out to a small, westerly-facing courtyard at the front of the house. We have thoughtfully furnished the room to include a good quality memory foam mattress, a bedside table and lamp, wardrobe, drawers, and a mirror. Conveniently situated at the front of the house, just as you come in the front door, and next to the shared bathroom.
The whole of the lower ground floor is available for all guests to enjoy communally. The area is down one flight of stairs from the street level entrance but as this property is built on a hill, the space has access to the garden terrace through two sets of South-west facing French doors.
As cooking is close to our hearts we have thought hard to well-equip the spacious kitchen with a microwave, utensils, cookware, crockery, hob, oven, fridge / freezer. There are plenty of cupboards and each guest is allocated their own storage space. For your convenience you will also find a washing machine and dryer, iron and ironing board.
There is a dining table to eat your home-cooked food and then a light, airy lounge with a comfortable leather sofa, rattan chair and T.V. to relax in afterwards. On Summer evenings you can enjoy a glass of wine on the sheltered, sunny, terrace, or on colder evenings you can curl up cosy with the cushions and throws to watch television.
The house is serviced twice a week but we also provide cleaning products and materials. Bedding and towels are provided, but guests will need to provide their own food.
The are 3 bathrooms on the property: One ensuite (for Room 3), a cloakroom in the communal area, and a shared family-sized bathroom on the ground floor, which has a shower over bath, basin with storage, and WC. With 3 bathrooms for 5 guests, queues are never a problem.
The whole property benefits from super-fast broadband.
The house is superbly located in Treliske; a peaceful and attractive residential area to the North-West of Truro that is home to the county’s main hospital. The house is near to all main transport links for the locality, county and for further beyond and is situated near an impressive array of amenities. In the immediate vicinity is a local convenience store, Sainsburys, a trade park with several large chains including Costa and Macdonalds, a leisure centre, a tennis club and golf club. What’s more, if you walk West for 2 minutes you are straight into the peace of the Cornish countryside.
Truro city offers a renowned range of highly-rated independent restaurants, shops and bars, plus all the usual high street favourites. You can’t fail to be impressed by the stunning cathedral, or to enjoy the quirky Lemon St market. Slightly further afield is the beautiful village of Malpas, with The Heron (a local’s favourite pub) and exquisite walks along the river.
If it’s the coast you are craving, you’re in luck! A 15 minute drive north will take you to a truly stunning trio of beaches: Perranporth, which has the UK’s only pub on a beach, Porthtowan with its expanse of deserted golden sand, and Trevaunance Cove on the shores of St Agnes, a quirky Cornish town where you will find surf schools, cafes, pubs selling local ales, and boutique after boutique stocked with local jewellery, art, baked goods and culinary delicacies. Each of these gorgeous beaches give access to miles and miles of stunning coastal walks.
