A Centrally located Coastal Retreat in the Victorian seaside resort of Ventnor, which even has its own micro climate and festival! Urban luxury, personal touches and cosy comforts ensure a memorable stay.
The Corner House is a modern and cosy cottage, with original exposed ceilings and chimney breast, reflecting the Victorian heritage of the property. Couples, families, walkers, cyclists and dogs are welcome at The Corner House and we try to provide personal touches and amenities for all. The modern fully integrated kitchen includes a dishwasher, fridge & washing machine. There is a cosy living and small dining area with a quaint courtyard for relaxing, eating or drinking. The courtyard also has a storage rack for bikes. There are beautiful stripped Victorian floorboards throughout the house. Upstairs these are the backdrop for a luxurious slipper bath (with shower attachment), within the open bedroom suite (Don't worry, the toilet is behind closed doors!). The bedroom suite upstairs is designed to wow! Exposed beams and chandelier lighting highlighting the stunning open ceiling. There are complimentary towels for your use. You'll struggle to find a bolthole with more character and style than The Corner House... A couple of things to note; There is a travel cot available. We also have a single fold out bed that maybe used at The Corner House subject to availability. This would allow an extra child to stay in the bedroom. Please let us know if you would like to make use of the bed before booking as it maybe being used in another house. There is an extra charge for the 3rd guest. There is no separate shower. The Corner House is dog friendly, but as its quite small we only allow 1 small dog and we ask that the dog is kept downstairs. Please let us know if you are bringing a dog.
Ventnor is a Victorian Seaside Town. The Esplanade showcases a traditional Victorian feel, with it's very own island shaped paddling pool! The town is full of amazing eateries, unique shops and is right on your doorstep. "the prettiest place I ever saw in my life, at home or abroad" Charles Dickens.

Remote cosy, self catering, stable conversion cottage surrounded by large garden, fields, woodland and plenty of wildlife. The small double bed room is suited to a couple. 5 minutes to the Fishbourne and 15 minutes to East Cowes car ferries.
Kennels Cottage was once the workers cottage for the hunting dogs for a larger estate. The stable conversion is attached to our main house. The property has an acre of garden, a large field in front with Firestone Copse beyond and another copse behind the house. The area is home to red squirrels, badgers, foxes and many species of bird. The main space is a combined kitchen living room, the bathroom has a shower cubicle and toilet and the cosy bedroom has a double bed. All linen and towels provided. There is Smart TV in the living room with Netflix, iplayer, etc. In the kitchen area there is a fridge freezer, microwave, conventional oven and all kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery are provided. Wifi throughout. There are electric heaters, if you wish to use the woodburner logs can be purchased nearby or bring your own. The space is suited to a single person or a couple. Well behaved dogs are welcome all year. In the winter months - small/medium sized dogs only. Anything else you may need just let us know.
A private road leads down to the cottage which is attached to our main house, in its own grounds.

If you are looking for somewhere truly unique to stay The Crow's Nest is the perfect couples hideaway. Think of it as your own luxury treehouse overlooking the beach. Winner of the 2019 Lux Travel Most Romantic Beachfront Accommodation. A cedar cabin nestled high into the cliffside on Ventnor seafront, the sea views are breath-taking. It has bi-fold windows along 2 sides, opening up your room so it's just you, the sea and the horizon. The Crow's Nest is part of The Cabin, Ventnor Beach.
The Crow's Nest has one main open plan room (20sq metres inside) with a kingsize bed overlooking the sea, Nespresso coffee machine, Wi-Fi, smart tv and fluffy robes. It has a separate rainfall shower (in the main room) and separate cloakroom with toilet and wash basin. It also has a mini fridge, microwave, toaster and hairdryer. Outside is a gas BBQ with hob if you fancy cooking (no oven). There are a wonderful choice of pubs and restaurants just a few minutes walk away. For your arrival we will also supply a starter pack of Nespresso, teas and hot chocolate together with biscuits and fresh milk. The Crow's Nest has a large south facing 16 square metre private balcony with stunning sea views. The balcony has 2 sun loungers, sofa and armchair plus folding dining table and chairs. The balcony connects to the room with bi-fold doors. It also has a small rear planted area with gazebo.
Ventnor is a beautiful seaside town, nestled behind the downs on the south side of the Isle of Wight. It was a popular resort in the Victorian era due to its warm micro climate and therapeutic sea air. It has several lovely sandy beaches, local shops and a great selection of pubs and restaurants both on the seafront and up in the small town. Fresh fish and crab is available along the seafront and available in most restaurants. There are amazing coastal walks both east and west of Ventnor, or just stay put and soak up the view!

Driftwood is a luxury, converted boathouse with stunning views of the creek from every room. It's in an area of outstanding natural beauty. You'll love the pool, kayaking up the creek, fishing from the pontoons, cosy log-burner and amazing sunsets. Driftwood is a beautiful converted boathouse on the water's edge, in the woodland grounds of our home. With creek views from every room, it's a great place to unwind and escape all year round. Relax and BBQ by the large pool, fish and crab from the private pontoons and slipways or use one of the kayaks to paddle up Wootton Creek (an area of outstanding natural beauty and haven for wildlife). In winter you can cosy up next to the huge log-burner and truly relax. Driftwood is ideal for walkers and cyclists as it's on the Isle of Wight Coastal Path, only 5 minutes walk from the Fishbourne Ferry; easy if you want to leave your car at home. A local bike hire company will arrange for hire bikes to be delivered to you as soon as you arrive so you'll be able to use the numerous cycle ways to explore the beautiful island scenery. On the ground floor there is a spacious open-plan dining, kitchen and living area with oak floors and a large log-burner. The kitchen is well-equipped with a large American fridge freezer and Dualit Nespresso coffee machine. There's also a shower and toilet, a utility room with washing machine and microwave, and a large entrance hall. Double doors open to the patio area next to the pool, where there is teak dining furniture and a Weber barbecue. Upstairs there is one double bedroom with a double bed and ensuite shower room, and two additional double bedrooms with twin beds in each. The large family bathroom has his and hers sinks plus a luxurious roll-top bath where you can relax and enjoy the views over the creek. The very large south-facing swimming pool projects out into the creek and provides a panoramic view as you relax on the loungers, settee and chairs and enjoy the sunset. The house comfortably sleeps 6 people but can stretch to 7 if the downstairs day-bed is used. (There is an extra charge of £30 for extra linen and towels if the day bed is required). You have access to the whole house, the pool ( shared with our family), pontoons and slipways. You are also welcome to share the grounds with us. We don’t want you to go home without seeing the red squirrels, wood peckers and buzzards . We’ll pop down to see you when you arrive or whenever you want us, but won’t if you don’t! Well behaved dogs are welcome (maximum of 2 dogs). Please let us know if you would like to bring a dog. We ask that they are kept downstairs and not left alone in the main living area. There is a tiled hallway where they can look out of the door at the view! There is an extra cleaning charge of £30 per dog. This will be requested as an extra charge through Airbnb. We live on a quiet leafy lane, just 5 minutes walk from the car ferry, the award-winning local pub and Fishbourne beach. Fishbourne has its own very friendly yacht club so if you’re a sailor or would like to be one, just let us know and we can organise a day’s sailing or some lessons. Walk 10 minutes along the coastal path and you’ll find Quarr Abbey with its beautiful church, ancient ruins, fantastic café, farm shop, nature trails and pigs. Fishbourne is centrally located and is a great base for exploring the whole Island. We are just 9 minutes drive from the Isle of Wight Festival site. Cowes with its famous August sailing week, is just 20 minutes away. By car: There are 2 parking spaces right next to the boathouse. By bicycle: If you bring your own, you can store it in our shed. We provide cycling maps and a pump! The Isle of Wight is a cyclists’ paradise with lots of fantastic cycle routes and a cycling festival ( in October). You can hire bikes from Two Elements in Cowes and they will deliver the bikes to you. By foot: You can walk from the ferry and don’t have to bring your car. We are right on the Isle of Wight coastal path so you can walk anywhere, very easily! We provide walking maps and lots of suggestions for the best places to go. There is a Walking Festival in September. By bus: The bus stop is 10 minutes walk away. Buses will take you all over the Isle of Wight. By air: The nearest airport is Southampton, but Bournemouth, Gatwick and Heathrow are all good as well. If you have your own small plane you can land on the Island at Bembridge and we will come and get you. By private boat: If you'd like to arrive by boat just let us know. We can arrange for you to be picked up in Portsmouth and transported by very fast rib directly to our pontoon (weather and tide dependant of course). If you have your own boat, you can moor it on our pontoon during your stay. Just contact us to find out more. Because of its beautiful location, our house has been used for photo shoots. Please get in contact if you would like to arrange a shoot. It's not far to go if you'd like to rent a rib, learn to drive one or have a fast rib ride. Our good friends and neighbours, Rebel Marine, are right next door and will arrange everything for you. If it's a nice day, we might use the pool too but it’s so big there’s plenty of room for all of us! The pool is heated to remove the chill; please don't expect it to be hot! The pool is open from May to end of September. It is the only pool on the island that is right on the water.

  • Hvis du tilfeldigvis velger de hotteste dagene i juni, er Båthuset definitivt stedet å være. Hyppige fall i svømmebassenget lar deg holde deg kjølig mens du nyter den fantastiske utsikten. Barnebarna var inn og ut av bassenget under hele oppholdet, og likte kajakkpadling langs bekken. Det var god plass i huset og ingen mangel på fasiliteter og spill for å holde alle opptatt. Catharine & Giles fikk oss alle til å føle oss veldig velkomne og rolige, og vi vil anbefale naustet.

  • Naustet er en virkelig wow-faktor, når du kommer ned til det ser du den nydelige utsikten over vannet. Selve huset var perfekt for de seks av oss, rikelig med felles plass, komfortable senger og flotte kjøkkenfasiliteter. Bassengområdet var også flott, vi gjorde mye bruk av det. Vi dro også ut på kajakkene og robåten og hadde det veldig bra, så godt at vi kunne bruke dem. Vi var 6 voksne som bodde i huset. Det tredje soverommet har mindre enkeltsenger, perfekt for barn. Var ikke noe problem for oss, noe du bør tenke på hvis du har mange høye mennesker i gruppen. Catherine og Giles var fantastiske verter, alt var så enkelt! Totalt sett hadde et flott opphold og vil definitivt ombooke!

  • Plasseringen av Catherine's båthus er fantastisk! Fantastisk utsikt og nær fergen. Vi hadde en så fin tid. Vi hadde 3 småbarn med oss og huset var veldig godt egnet for barn. Interiøret var veldig rent og pent innredet. Huset er litt trekkfullt, men dette gjorde ikke noe for vår glede. Ved til komfyren er ikke inkludert, men det er noen på stedet du kan kjøpe fra Catharine. Alt i alt, fantastisk tur!

    This small quaint fisherman's cottage is close to the sea with sea views from the front bedroom. Based in the famous Victorian seaside town of Ventnor. Bay Cottage is walking distance to the seafront, restaurants, pubs, shops, bus stops, Victorian promenade, cafes and wonderful walking routes. Free 24hr parking close by. This car park becomes busy from Easter to Autumn. There are fee-paying car parks close by at Dudley Street, Market Street, Town Centre (Central) and along the seafront.
    This is a charming, quaint end of terrace fisherman's cottage. Downstairs is a functional, well equipped 4 seater kitchen diner, with fridge, electric oven and grill, washing machine and tumble dryer. The lounge comfortably seats 4 people and has a TV, CD player and electric log style fire. The cottage has full gas central heating and double glazing. Downstairs has a small shower room with toilet and basin. The toilet is located in the only space available in the shower room and is a tighter squeeze for larger people. However, there is an upstairs toilet. It has been mentioned by some guests, the shower room and the shower cubicle is small.....which it is. Some guests have suggested we could make the shower room into a wet room, but we would be concerned for guest safety, we wish to avoid guests slipping and falling on a wet floor, which may happen if this room became a wet room. While the stairs are steep, there is a handrail on both sides of the stairwell for assistance if needed. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms. The front bedroom has a queen-sized bed, wardrobe, hairdryer, mirror and a sea view. The second bedroom is very cosy for space once 2 beds are erected. The second bed in this room is a pull out bed. Some guests have mentioned the pull-out bed is not so comfortable for a heavy adult. Guest looking to book Bay Cottage for 4 adults would need to consider this feedback if looking to book and stay for more than 2 nights. If only one bed is in use the room is quite a good size. This bedroom also has a wardrobe and mirror. There is an upstairs toilet and basin. Bath and hand towels are provided, and beds are prepared before guests arrive. So that guests may make a drink on arrival, we leave fresh milk in the fridge, tea, coffee and sugar. The cottage has Wi-Fi. Mobile phone reception is limited due to the position of the cottage to the nearest cell tower.
    Very peaceful road, very little one way traffic. Short walk to town centre and stunning coastline.

    Our light and airy 3 bedroom seaside holiday home offers you home comforts and a little bit of luxury. Ideal for children and grown ups. The views from the sittingroom and 2 of the 3 double bedrooms are stunning. Floor to ceiling windows/doors share light, views and access to the 50ft balcony. Venture into the town - where local shops, restaurants, pubs and supermarkets are just a stone's throw away. Take a trip down to Ventnor beach - just a couple of minutes walk away - and enjoy the sea front with all its wonderful restaurants, eateries, shops and sights. Two bathrooms - with power showers (shower and shower / bath) - loos, mean there's very little waiting around for showers in the morning. Washing machine, should you want to get ahead of the 'back from holiday washing piles' .
    Friendly, chilled out vibe. Nice neighbours - quiet, respectful, helpful.

  • Vi er to par nettopp returnert fra en uke unna i Michels leilighet. Plasseringen av Seacliff var bare fantastisk, vi elsket å våkne opp til ubrukte utsikten over havet og Ventnor fra de viktigste soverommene. Leiligheten var ren, mer romslig enn den vises i bildene og godt utstyrt. Gode dusjer, skjegg king size-senger, perioden karakter og stor balkong er bare enestående, vi alle likte å sitte ute soaking i utsikten og sjøluft. Det er bare 5 minutters gange til butikker / restauranter og mindre enn 10 minutter ned bakken til den praktfulle sandstranden. Veien utenfor var stille og selv om det ikke er parkering tillatt vi klarte å parkere våre biler mindre enn 5 minutters gange unna hver dag. Perks Vintage kafé / bar var et høydepunkt, det åpner bare på fredag og lørdag kveld til middag, så du må prebook som det er fullt av lokalbefolkningen, men vel verdt det for den gode atmosfæren og retro komfortmat. Vi vil alle grundig anbefale Seacliff og håper å komme tilbake igjen.

    Torwood is a beautiful Victorian house with five bedrooms sleeping a total of 12 people. Built 1860 in Bonchurch, a most picturesque village in this scenic region of the Isle of Wight. South from your bedroom window the sea stretches way out towards France. Below, the lawn gives way to two acres of trees intertwined by secret paths - a veritable dream come true for kids. To the east you watch as the swimming pool becomes ever more inviting. Going downstairs for morning coffee, it’s a kitchen that feels like at home should feel, lovely long table seats ten, you take your armchair in the conservatory, the warm water of the pool being just two meters away! After your morning dip, perfect croissants from the trusty old AGA stove prepare you for the day ahead. And what a day it will be. When people stay at Torwood, they tend to stay time after time, there's simply nowhere else like it. So, sadly, it's booked almost all of the time. But sometimes cancellations come up - and you'll say, "aren’t we glad we didn't miss that, let's book for now!” Our outdoor heated swimming pool is available during months of May, June, July, August and September.
    Torwood is in the village of Bonchurch, one of the most charming on the island. A walk down through your private garden, past the village pond, and your there. The beach is just 10 minutes away...

    I live in Apt 3, Sandham Court which is situated at 30 Nunwell Street, just 5 minutes walk from Sandown train station with direct link to London. My place is close to restaurants and pubs, great views, the beach and family friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the ambiance, the outdoor space, the neighbourhood, the light and the comfy memory foam mattress. The Isle of Wight is the home of the Isle of Wight Pop Festival with bus connections nearby.
    I will be on hand to welcome you to my home on your arrival and to make sure you are settled in. I live on the ground floor in my garden apartment. It is very quiet here - inside and out. Very comfortable double bedroom with a standard size double bed with memory foam mattress. En suite bathroom with shaver/electric toothbrush point. Bath has overhead shower. Central heating in colder months. There is a 39inch TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime in the bedroom.
    I live in a beautiful, quiet tree lined street in Sandown4 minutes walk from the local train station which has a direct link from London. The car ferries operate between Portsmouth and Ryde, Southampton and East Cowes and Lymington and Yarmouth. The beach is 8-10 minutes walk away with walks along the seafront towards Shanklin and Yaverland. The beach is safe for bathing with soft golden sand.

    Our cosy and comfortable attic suite has views looking over the Brading Downs and the local golf course. It sleeps two and you will have your own private bathroom. We have parking for your car and it's just a fifteen minute walk to the beach!
    Situated on the 2nd floor of our home our attic room with its sloping ceilings is very cosy and having the bathroom ensuite gives you total privacy. Views out over the downs and surrounding countryside will only add to the experience. We only have one guest room so you don't need to share our home with other guests.
    Our house is located in a quiet residential street. The Island offers something for everyone. Pop festivals, wonderful beaches, good food, outdoor activities etc. If you enjoy walking you can be in the fields and countryside in just two minutes and you are also only a ten to fifteen minute walk from the seaside. Cycling is also popular and there is a place nearby where you can rent bikes by the day. The Island is full of things to do depending on your likes/dislikes we are happy to advise on local tourist attractions etc. You will also find a lot of tourist information leaflets and books in your room.

    Rosie's Place is a bright and airy 1st floor split level apartment in a quiet area with views of Sandown Bay and within walking distance of the beach and High St. It's well equipped & beautifully presented with its own lovely sunny garden, free wifi and private off road parking.
    Imagine enjoying a freshly brewed Nespresso for breakfast whilst taking in the beautiful view of Culver and the sea. Or maybe strolling out for breakfast at a beachside cafe. You might spend the day at the beach or hop on a train and go exploring. Perhaps walk the coastal path. All these things are minutes from Rosie's Place. We love to cook so the kitchen is exceptionally well equipped (including a table top dishwasher). But you could walk into town to eat out or get some fish & chips to eat straight out of the bag. Or even relax in the garden and enjoy a BBQ. After that visit one of the many local pubs for a quiet drink. Or sit in the cosy lounge and watch something you have recorded on the PVR, or one of our many great DVDs. The master bedroom has views of the sea and St Johns Church, and has a King size bed and feature fire place. It also has its own TV/DVD. The second bedroom has views of Brading Down and has twin beds and its own TV/DVD player. The bathroom has a bath and separate walk in shower. There is a separate WC with wash hand basin. All linen and towels are included, but if you feel like it there is a washer/tumble dryer in the kitchen. Wifi is free and there are no extra charges for heating or electricity. We can provide a cot and high chair, and there are games for children and adults to enjoy. There is off road parking for two cars.
    There is so much more to Sandown and the Isle of Wight than beautiful beaches and the sunny climate. We have a fully functioning pier that has a small fun fair, crazy golf and a bowling alley within. Sandown offers fishing and numerous kinds of water sports, plus tennis and golf all within 20 minutes walk of Rosie's Place. You can visit the dinosaur museum or, further afield, you could visit our personal favourite, Osborne House (Queen Victoria's residence) or Carisbrooke Castle. For children there is Robin Hill Country Park, the IoW steam railway, Alum Bay (all those coloured sands) and that childhood favourite, Blackgang Chine. For animal lovers we have the Sandown zoo within walking distance, plus Monkey Haven and Sealife Encounter to name but three.

    Shanklin Manor dates back to the Doomsday Book and has previously been a house and farm, being the home to the various Lords of the Shanklin Manor for many years. It was purchased by the local council in the early 20th century, with much of the land put into public ownership, such as Big Meade park and Shanklin Cricket Club, with the house sold on to the Workers’ Travel Association for a hotel for the underprivileged and then turned into a luxurious hotel in 1979. It has now been extensively renovated and restored to bring it back to its former glory, as well as meet the demands of the modern world. The duplex apartment comprises of two large bedrooms, one a master double bedroom with ensuite and the second twin bedroom, as well as a family bathroom, all on the first floor. There is also a toilet on the ground floor. All of the bedrooms benefit from parkland and woodland views, as well as views across farmland. The living area on the ground floor is spacious and open plan, with separate seating area with leather sofas and a home cinema and music system with LCD TV, HD DVD/CD player, Freeview, mobile/tablet jack and radio tuner, with speakers and controls in all bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as a dining area and kitchen. The kitchen includes an integrated dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, oven, hob and microwave, all with a granite worksurface and kitchen lighting. The grounds and gardens extend out to 2 acres, with a listed walled garden and summerhouse, as well as a private gate for access the adjacent picturesque parkland. Just next door is Shanklin Cricket Club, where you can enjoy a summer’s afternoon watching the action, as well as the Big Meade park surrounding the manor, with open grassland, a duck pond and children’s play area. Finally, the historic St Blasius’ Church can be found at the entrance to Shanklin Manor, which was the former church to the manor and dates back to 12th century. Just five minutes walk away is the Old Village, with the famous thatched cottages and a selection of local shops, pubs and restaurants, and the main town centre following afterwards. Finally, it is just five minutes walk from the cliff top and Esplanade with its sandy beaches.

The train is a very short walk so away so why not explore the island on foot and leave the car at home.
    We are located beside the cliff edge in lake town which is a 5 min coastal walk either way to Sandown and Shanklin town

Beliggenheten er ideell som bare en kort spasertur fra stranden, butikker, restauranter og bryggen (som var veldig moro for våre 2 år sønn!) We have a local RNLI boat station and the well-known Bembridge Windmill.

    All bedrooms are located Upstairs. Bedroom 1 is a kingsize bed. Bedroom 2 can either be a kingsize bed or split into 2 singles whatever your preference. Bedroom 3 is a double bed. Upstairs is the main bathroom fitted with a bath and shower sink and toilet. The main floor area is all open plan, kitchen with breakfast bar, lounge with bi-fold doors opening into the garden with hot tub, and dining area seating 6 people.
    Residential area so safe and peaceful area. A lovely area for children and pets not far walk to the cliff path to the beach. Would definitely recommend that very lovely walk.
  • Vel, vi visste fra bildene at huset skulle bli fint, men wow, vi er imponert over hvor fint det var ved ankomst. Kjøleskapet var fylt med juice og melk, og egg, brød og smør ble utelatt for oss også. Huset har blitt vakkert og gjennomtenkt ferdig til en ekstremt høy standard og sengene / puter var så skjegg. Vi brukte badestamp også og grundig likte hvert minutt. Huset var i en fab beliggenhet, veldig nær stranden og lett å kjøre til andre deler av øya. Vi kunne ikke anbefale Kennedy hus mer høyt. Takk så mye Kennedy, for vår fantastiske opphold!

  • Vi hadde et fantastisk opphold! Kennedy var en stor vert. Hun kommuniserte raskt og tydelig. Vi følte meg så velkommen på Lavender Lodge. Hjemmet er kjære. Det er en rask kjøretur til Shanklin beach. Min favorittfunksjon? Kjøkkenet. Vår typiske opplevelse med et Airbnb-kjøkken har vært dårligere potter og panner, utilstrekkelige verktøy og blandeskåler. Dette kjøkkenet hadde alt vi trengte for å lage et godt måltid! Det har vært godt gjennomtenkt.

    We have a twin room too so combine bookings for 4 guests. If you are booking both rooms contact us as we can give a better rate on the twin room. The house is 200 metres from the town centre with a good selection of shops, restaurants, coffee bars and takeaways. 100 metres further & you are on the beach. Buses & trains are nearby too
    We are very close to the town, beach, station and buses. There is plenty of free on road parking and a large council pay and display car park at the rear of the house too. There are plenty of reasonable priced cafes, pubs and restaurants within a short distance, as is the local Conservative Club, where we can get you registered as a visitor if you let us know before your visit. They have snooker, darts, indoor bowls, bingo, quiz nights and entertainment on Saturday evenings. Sandowns' oldest pub The Old Comical is a stones throw away too and they have regular music etc The house is an ideal base to explore our lovely island or to just enjoy one of the best beaches on the IOW at Sandown. We can book discounted ferry crossings for you on Red Funnel from Southampton to Cowes if you wish.
    Near to all the amenities of Sandown, with the. Leisure Centre, swimming pool, crazy golf, pitch and putt, Sandown Zoo and Dinosaur Isle all within walking distance. If you are arriving by train we can usually pick you and your luggage up from the station to save you struggling. We can help with cheaper vehicle ferry costs on Red Funnel from Southampton to Cowes. If coming by public transport most people use Wightlink from Portsmouth to Ryde and take the train to Sandown Station which is about 800 metres from our house.

There is a stylish modern kitchen and bathroom. The property has been furnished in a vintage boutique style with period features. The rear yard provides safe storage for up to 4 cycles as Sandown is a great centre for cycling holidays. 15% discount available on Red Funnel Car Ferry on completion of booking.
    A spacious hall leads to the living room, two bedrooms and the large kitchen diner. The kitchen is well equipped for those who wish to cook and eat in or use simply for breakfast. The kitchen leads into the spacious shower room beautifully appointed with a new suite including bidet. An enclosed sunny courtyard can be enjoyed during the daytime and on warm evenings. Lovely for relaxing or perhaps al-fresco dining. An 8' wall gives good security for bicycles or surf boards etc. (at owners risk) There is a 4 cycle rack, guests must provide their own chain and padlock. In addition there is a retractable clothesline which is handy for drying beach towels and swimwear.
    Sandown grew in the Victorian era and understandably became a popular resort. It has the most amazing beach which sweeps across the eastern face of the island. The eastern end of the bay is Yaverland which is popular with water-sports such as surfing, wind and kite surfing. Yaverland beach is a great place for fossil hunting. You never know what you might find! Sandown Dinosaur Museum showcases finds on the Isle of Wight. The museum sits in the bay along side Sandown Zoo famous for its tigers and conservation work. Next to that is Brown's Pitch and Putt Golf Course. A dinosaur themed Crazy Golf is scheduled to open in 2019 at Sandham Gardens also on the the seafront. Unlike Shanklin and Ventnor the beach is at town level making it so convenient for visitors of all ages. The accommodation is 200 meters from the beach and pier and 100 meters from the Town Centre. There are many restaurants and takeaways within easy walking distance. The High Street also has a Sainsbury's Local and Cooperative to meet all self catering needs.

    We present a Victorian seaside villa in a quiet road within walking distance of beaches, restaurants and shops also close to cycle paths and walks. We have three cheerful labradors who like company and we all benefit from the space and comfort this house provides. There is enough room to relax quietly if you want to but company around for information or a chat when you need it. And of course a garden for that healthy fresh air..
    We have lived in this house for 21 years and nursed it back to health - it was semi-derelict - at the same time as bringing up our children. It was built in about 1860 and shows some scars of it's varied history, but we love it and restored it to make a wonderful family home. We have a shared lounge with TV; also a shared dining room/quiet room.We live on the premises and have adult children who visit from time to time, we love visitors. We do expect smokers to smoke outside - and all are welcome to enjoy the enclosed back garden at any time.
    Shanklin is a small town in the south-east corner of the Isle of Wight with charming attractions, walks and views plus plenty of good places to eat. It appeals to all ages in search of gentler adventures, activities, beaches and family fun, and is a good base for exploring the south & east of the Island. For those who want some more excitement there is a local watersports centre offering a wide range of facilities including surf boards, surf skis, wind-surfers, canoes, paddle-boards all with tuition. There is also kite-surfing and of course a range of conventional sailing dinghies, catamarans, jet-skis and for a bit of quiet escape, fishing from the shore and from boats too. Not forgetting horse-riding and a host of other on-shore past-times too.

    The village of Brading is approximately four miles from the sandy beaches at Priory Bay and St. Helens Duver with Baywatch Cafe. Around Brading, there are 70 footpaths taking in the beauty of the marshlands and its amazing bird life, stretching to the Downs which rest within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Brading is also perfectly located for many of the island’s beaches, with the sands of Sandown and Yaverland only 1.7 miles away and the rock pools of Bembridge beach 3.5 miles away.     27-30 August 2020 is the annual Scooter weekend. We are offering a clean, comfortable single bedroom in our detached 1930's house to any fellow scooterist looking for a place to rest their bones! The upstairs bathroom is shared, but for convenience we also have a seperate downstairs WC. The house has an enclosed garden and patio for relaxing. We offer a simple breakfast with a choice of cereals, toast with lots of toppings, tea, fresh coffee and OJ.
    We have a small driveway and visitors can either park in the drive or in the road in front of it. Guests are able to use the kitchen and dining area in the evening if they want to bring home a take away or cook a meal. Tea and coffee facilities are also available on a 'help yourself' basis from our kitchen.

    Grange Cottage is in the beautiful hamlet of Alverstone on the Isle of Wight. Located near the Red Squirrel Trail and Alverstone Mead nature reserve it is perfect for cyclists, walkers and nature lovers. We have a double or twin room for you to choose. There is a king size bed if you prefer. You will be our only guests and will have sole use of the bathroom with its large tub and walk in shower. Muddy paws, boots and wheels are welcome!
    Breakfast will be continental style and laid out for you in the kitchen. You are also welcome to help yourselves to tea and coffee throughout your stay. We offer bed & breakfast not self catering. Although the garden is work in progress it is still a lovely spot to take refreshments or sit and read.
    We are located just of the Red Squirrel Trail. 32 miles of mostly off-road track trailing through woodland, farmland, estuaries and coastline. Perfect for walking and cycling. Alverstone Mead is 30 acres of nature reserve. It is home to little owls, wood crickets, buzzards, kestrel, sparrow hawk, white admiral butterflies, hares, red squirrels and badgers. Rare plants include marsh cinquefort, native bogbean and ragged robin. Pedallers Cafe is just along the cycle track and is ideal for refreshments and recharging your electric bikes. The Pointer Inn in Newchurch has great ales and fantastic food. Visit the bird hide where you may be lucky and see red squirrels. 40-50 species of birds have been spotted there including egrets, heron, kingfishers and woodpeckers.

There are some amazing cycle routes with varying degrees of difficulty all around the Island so you are never too far away from one. Yaverland Beach is one of the best places for water sports and is just a short walk or two minute drive away. Surfing and bodyboarding lessons take place through out the season. You can also at certain tides see Dinosaur fossils as the Island is nicknamed "Dinosaur Island" and is one of the richest places in the uk for Dinosaur remains. Isle of wights small independent Zoo is just a short walk away, where you can interact with the Meerkats and watch the feeding of the big cats. Queen Victorias Summer Residence Osborne House is just a short drive away and is a must visit, it is great for kids as well as history lovers. We are just a two minute walk from the High Street, restaurants and bars we can advice you of our favourite places. Nothing is too far away on the Island there is just so much to see and do, we provide maps and information on all our favourite places to hep you decide what to do and see!
