I have just got home from a fabulous week at Trengrove Cottage - what a wonderful place! Ian and Derek were superb hosts - excellent communication, and instant response to questions. Trengrove is so beautiful, and the facilities are superb - lots of little (and big) touches, including slippers! We cooked a couple of times, and the kitchen is really well equipped. The new fire is great, and the instructions are easy to follow!

This was a wonderful place to spend a few days! A perfect getaway to Cornwall and within easy reach of the Eden Project, Looe, Fowey and many other places which we would love to have and time to visit. Ian was extremely efficient and informative - it's a lovely cottage, very peaceful and cosy. The garden is great too and perfect on a sunny day. Strongly recommended and hope to go back ourselves!!

We loved our stay at the Trengrove Cottage! We are very impressed with this lovely place! The cottage has been carefully and tastefully decorated to high standard yet it feels cozy and like a real home from home. We had a shortbread and tea ready for us when we arrived, the host made us feel very welcome, making sure we are happy and comfortable and enjoy our stay - this customer service has been very inspiring I must say! Beautiful, modern, cozy and clean cottage - everything you need! All amenities were available, the DVD collection is very impressive and the games, wifi and books proved very handy indeed. We did use the stove and enjoyed a couple of evenings in front of the fire, it was perfect! We also did put a heating on one morning as it got chilly and it heated up the whole place within 10 mins - it was very pleasant. The kitchen is very well equipped and the lounge is extremely comfortable. The bedrooms are well furnished, they all look bright and clean and our bed was very comfortable, made up with crisp clean bed linen - perfect! Large, beautiful and very private south faced garden - again, very well equipped, large table, comfy chairs and bbq. The neighbourhood area is very quiet, you wake up to the sound of birds and other animals coming from afar. At night, if you're lucky, you can even hear a couple of tawny owls calling. There are some great walks in the area too. We absolutely loved our stay at the Trengrove Cottage! We were sorry to be in such rush and only stay for 3 nights. Next time we visit we will certainly stay longer and enjoy this delightful property. Thank you

Initial contact with Ian was very friendly and very very quick. Booking was easy and the information provided was very accurate and really detailed. Now on to the cottage. It's beautiful, just as it looks in the photographs, spotlessly clean, very well equipped with everything you could ask for. We have had a really comfortable, cosy, peaceful stay. Ian is a fantastic host who responds promptly to emails and requests and has a fantastic holiday home which we have been lucky enough to stay in for a great holiday in Cornwall. Highly recommend this cottage, we will definitely be back.

I had a wonderful stay at Trengrove Cottage. I took an 8 day holiday to get some peace and quiet, and even brought my mom along. The cottage was immaculate, and Ian was an amazing host. He made sure we had everything we needed, proper directions to the house, and general advice on what to see and where to go during our stay. I couldn't have asked for more!

The cottage is charming and has been tastefully restored to a high standard. It is located in a tranquil rural setting, perfect for a quiet stay and is close to woodland and other walks. It is very well equipped. Ian was a pleasure to deal with and we particularly appreciated the welcome buns, biscuits, cheese and tea on arrival. Directions are clear, which was welcome given the remote location and narrow roads. An ideal location for a relaxing holiday and still close enough to the picturesque local towns and coastal walks in Cornwall.

Love love loved Ian's place! It is clean, cosy, beautifully decorated...I could go on and on. It was the perfect place to escape the city and enjoy the serenity of the Cornish countryside. The cottage is well equipped which meant we happily spent one of the nights in watching a DVD and cooking a home cooked meal. Ian provided us with great recommendations and activities to fill our weekend. I would happily recommend this place to anyone and hope to be back soon. Thank you!

We loved this tranquil little cottage! For us it had everything we wanted for our mini-moon: a forest walk right by the cottage, short drive to the beaches and coastal path and, importantly, peace & seclusion. We really feel relaxed coming home after being in such a beautiful setting. Ian as a host couldn't be better, communication was quick and it genuinely seems as though he's thought of everything you may need at the cottage (including arranging on my behalf a bottle of champagne to be waiting for us on arrival). Genuinely wish all hosts were as good as Ian. In terms of the food in the area we in particular loved 'the coddy shack' for its hugely sized fish and chips and the thai restaurant in Looe. But as with all holidays im sure there are many more gems to be found.

We are currently travelling around England from Australia and wanted to experience an English cottage in Cornwall. We did our research and located this gem of a place. From day one Ian the host has been nothing but helpful and an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was more than helpful and has taken the time to ensure everything goes to plan on our arrival from Australia. We have not experienced the small country lanes before and thankfully Ian provided full directions and even checked that we had arrived ok via email. The place was easy as a result of the directions and is situated in an idyllic quite location which was superb for us after a busy few days in London. A drive over to Padstow or Fowey was no problem at all from this spot. This cottage is suited to those wanting to have a break away from the hustle and bustle and is well suited to rest and relaxation away from it all. We stayed four nights and were well rested as a result. The cottage itself is very well appointed and comfortable with everything you could need. One night we visited Looe and purchased the best local seafood we have had in a long time and returned to have a lovely meal in the private garden. The location is secluded but in no way an issue to get around local spots. The bed was super comfortable and we had some of the best sleep in a long time. We will leave this location with some great memories of Cornwall and this cottage only added to the experiance. I can't think of any negatives at all about this place and the interaction with Ian the host was supurb. Thanks Ian for preparing the firewood and coal so we could enjoy a warming fireplace. Big Thumbs up from us we had a great time. We will be back on our next trip to England.

Staying at Trevenna Cottage was the best choice ever :-) the scenery is so beautiful and the cottage itself is a very lovely and warm place. Ian is a great host and more than helpful. He provided a lot of important information and personal instructions that made us feel very welcome. The gorgeous cottage is well equipped, with a fantastic multi-fuel stove. Nearly all rooms have been beautifully refitted in the last couple of months and now the cottage looks amazing! Furniture and decoration have been chosen with love for individuality. I would highly recommend this cottage to all who look for a romantic or relaxing break. Thanks very much,Ian, for making our stay that perfect! Laura & Iris

We loved our stay at Trevenna Cottage such a stunning place, it was clean, very comfortable and well equipped. Ian was a great host and was very thoughtful! He had laid out tea and biscuits for our arrival and as it was our first wedding anniversary he even gave us a bottle of fizz. The decor is beautiful, it's a really relaxing and we would 100% come back again.

Everything that Ian described his cottage to be was spot on. Its located in a lovely quiet area, and is the perfect location for a quiet break, just what we were looking for. The high quality amenities also meant that for the quiet evenings in we had everything we needed, a home away from home. Other people interested in booking the cottage needn't worry about the facilities or what things they need to take as everything is there waiting for you. It was so easy liaising with Ian and organising our stay, the booking and payment etc. We also organised for a supply of wood and coal for the stove which was there on our arrival, along with welcome biscuits for our first tea and coffee, not that there were many left as Sara was happy to tuck into them whilst I was unpacking the car! The area is great for exploring the surroundings and trips to Polperro and Looe were really enjoyable, especially with the great sunny weather which we experienced. The photos look great but they don't do the property justice and we will certainly be returning in the near future for another stay. We're usually quite a fussy couple over where we like to stay and places we return to so the fact that we are writing a review and speaking so highly speaks volumes.

The stay at Trevenna Cottage at Hill House was a memorable trip to Cornwall and the first of I hope several. From the very beginning had a very positive experience with the booking as Ian was very helpful with the travel dates. The instructions were extremely detailed including directions, maps and recommendations for places nearby. The cottage is beautiful, very clean, cosy and tastefully decorated with all modern amenities. Having a car is absolutely essential for staying here as the country roads do not have much public transport options and driving through there is a real enjoyable experience. Ian was very good with communications all the way through the booking, checking in after arrival. Cannot stress highly enough how professionally he managed the whole process. Would highly recommend anyone for a stay at the cottage as the whole experience has been a very positive one. Looking forward to be back some time in the future.

We arrived at this beautiful cottage mid afternoon, directions were very accurate we didn't follow the sat nav as instructed. We found the key very easily on entering the cottage we were greeted with a welcome pack and a very nice packet of Cornish biscuits (which were delicious) milk in the fridge and tea tray ready to go,our initial thoughts were wow this is amazing. Everywhere was very clean and tidy and beautifully decorated to a very high standard, the kitchen had every utensili you could want and more, extra touches like the Bluetooth speaker was a bonus,TV in each room and wifi was great. Bathroom was lovely ,extra special touch with bathrobes and fluffy white towels. We took our dog and the garden is perfect, fairly large well looked after but safe and enclosed with plenty of local walks. this cottage more than met our expectations And we would definitely go again. Ian and Derek were great hosts and kept us well informed with anything we needed to know. if your looking for a quiet, idyllic relaxing break in Cornwall this is definitely a great place to stay.

Der Empfang von Alex war sehr warmherzig und freundlich. Die Unterkunft in einer alten, liebevoll restaurierten Mühle ist einfach wunderschön. I really enjoyed my stay at Lipson, the accommodation is spacious and comfortable. Eila has thought of everything to make this a perfect stay - the kitchen is well equipped. Unfortunately, Eila was away during my visit but was in contact to make sure that everything was going well. Lovely bright, spacious room in the top floor apartment. The whole apartment was very clean and well kept and the kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed our stay over Easter Weekend break. Karen waited for us to give a key to the Farmhouse and a brief introduction to the area after we arrived a bit later than we expected. The area is beautiful, near a nice cosy pub and restuarant. Supermarket is not too far away. 30 mins drive to the Eden project, Boscastle town (highly recommended), and Tintagle Castle. The Lodge was in a really lovely area which was very green and peaceful. Although just in the border of Cornwall everything was a reasonably short drive away and the country roads were an adventure themselves with stunning countryside and small villages to explore. We got to see a lot and visit lots of places, even as far as St Ives and Penzance with the drive back being a reasonably short distance. We all had a lovely stay and the house was amazing, such a large living area and great kitchen with all you need. The lodge had sky tv and a very good speaker system so we were entertained when relaxing in the evenings. Overall we loved our stay and I can't think of one negative thing at all. Beds were really comfy and we had plenty of pillows and nice duvets. Each room had an en suite which was fantastic. Plenty of room for all 6 of us plus a two year old child too. I would stay at this property again definitely.

We had a great time in the utterly peaceful #17 and #5 cottages. The beds are very comfortable and new and it is really well laid out with bathrooms for all. Moreover the forest setting is utterly blissful. We took advantage of the local resort by paying a small amount for pool passes and it was really worth it to have a place for the children to swim and burn off energy. By the way there is a great zipline in Callington and the Donkey park in HarrowBarrow is wonderful for everyone from 3 to 13. We also visited Looe, Charleston and Fowey and found them all utterly charming. The camel bike path, walks on Dartmoor, and the cable park on Siblyback Lake are also recommended for more strenuous days out!! Caroline was very accommodating as a member of our party had to return home sick, and our plans for extending our stay became uncertain. Having the keys at the St. Mellion makes it all very easy. I would recommend Caroline and her rentals without reservation!

We stayed here for 3 nights for our son's birthday as a base for the Aquarium and Bonfire Night in Plymouth. The house was so clean, comfortable and warm despite it being only 1 degree outside! It was very well equipped and we slept really well. We have already been telling our friends and families about it and would definitely love to return again! One minor thing, the cot mattress is too thin, it could do with an extra mattress for comfort. Also, we can highly recommend the excellent roast at Who'd a Thought It pub which is in the next village along.

We stayed here for 3 nights around the August bank holiday and it is a great property. The booking process was easy with Caroline and she was really helpful with any queries we had. The property is finished to a high standard (as per pictures) with all facilities plenty of outside seating. The bedrooms are big enough though the en suite shower rooms were on the small side, but that's not really a problem. The lodge is within an hour of most of Cornwall's tourist spots and 1.5hrs from Lands End. It has good road links to the north and south and approx 10-15 mins from a supermarkets which is ideal. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking to stay in Cornwall!

The lodge was very comfortable and ideal for our short 3 night stay. The surroundings were very remote which makes a nice change from the hustle and bustle of London and I would certainly recommend to others. You are within an hours drive of most tourist hotspots and the drives are very scenic. All in all a nice weekend and the people we met were very friendly and helpful which made for an enjoyable stay. We look forward to our next trip down to this part of the world...

Everything from start to finish worked perfectly for our stay. Caroline was extremely prompt and helpful with any queries we had, directions and info on how to get to and into the lodge were clear - and the lodge itself, incredibly well appointed - we really wanted for nothing. The location and views really are stunning, and such a beautiful peaceful surround. We recommend this lodge unreservedly and will definitely be coming back - in the summer if we can find availability!.

A beautiful and tranquil Grade II listed coach house, recently renovated to a high standard. The house has its own gardens, self contained private courtyard, open plan flagstone living area with log burner, modern fitted kitchen with dishwasher. Upstairs, there is one double and a twin with a separate bathroom. The Old Coach House is within the grounds of The Old Vicarage, tucked behind the historic church in Princetown, a perfect spot to explore Dartmoor and the nearby town of Tavistock. Guests have a private courtyard & garden however they also have access to the gardens of the main house. We live on site and are happy to assist and help our guests in any way we can and encourage guests to knock should they require anything to make their stay more comfortable. We have 3 girls who are always happy to have extra children to play with in the gardens. In the summer months there is a trampoline and swings which are guests are welcome to use. The garden of the main house backs onto Dartmoor National Park. The village of Princetown is the home of the Dartmoor National Park Visitor Centre, along with two friendly local pubs serving the infamous Jail Ale and good quality home cooked food. There is also the locally renowned Fox Tor Cafe which serves a great breakfast to set you up for a day of activities on the moor! All are within easy walking distance. The nearby stannary & market town of Tavistock is a ten minute car journey away and has numerous cafes, restaurants and local interesting shops to explore. The pannier market is open almost everyday and regular farmers markets held in the town square sell various locally grown vegetables, rare breed meats and locally made items. Dogs are welcome and we provide essentials such as a dog bowl, dog towels & shampoo.les mer

The coach house was perfect ,all we could need. A good location to enjoy exploring the Dartmoor places of interest, with information centre and spectacular moor walk five minutes away. Zoe was on hand (busy decorating}to help with our questions. Loved Lolly the collie . We would certainly stay there again if we made the trek from Scotland.

The beautiful red roses and the strawberries and clotted cream made us feel very welcome as we entered the property! The cottage was tastefully decorated as we had expected from the photographs. It was spotlessly clean and even the fire had been set, ready to go. The Visitor Centre in the village is a mine of useful information on the history of the area and the origins of Princetown itself. For brunch or cream teas away from the cottage, the Fox Tor across from the Centre is excellent. If you want to mix history and hospitality, the Dartmoor Brewery is about 300 yards behind the property and holds its own guided tours. Thanks Zoe and Guy and good luck for the 2016 season!

Zoe and Guy were great hosts. Before we arrived, Zoe was really helpful when we were looking for a local riding stable and places to eat where we could take our dog. Zoe was very helpful. Clear directions to property attached to the old vicarage in large grounds. Very private with ample easy parking.. Next door to the church in centre of a small Dartmoor town. Very dog friendly! The Coach house is a lovely mix of ancient structure and modern fittings. Very welcoming wood burner. All beautifully clean and welcoming. Breakfast is not included. Widecombe is a historic village, with its parish church rightly known as the cathedral of the moor. it is also home to the famous widecombe fair. The area is surrounded by beautiful Tors and streams. Hidden valleys contain the remains of many past settlements, from medieval villages destroyed by the black death, to stone age and bronze age hut circles. the world famous Merrivale stone row is only half hours drive away. Horse riding and canoeing are also popular local activities. surrounding villages and towns offer regular farmers markets, with a taste of local (website hidden) most of these villages you will find a warm welcome in their tearooms and inns. the larger villages also home their own traditional country fair, emphasising country music and folk dancing. It takes a little longer, but it is possible to walk to the village across the moor instead of country lanes. We have plenty of maps and guide books to help you! Also in bad weather we can loan you raincoat and wellington boots. Hopefully not needed. Best to bring your own car. You should be aware the nearest food stores and petrol stations are in Ashburton and Bovey Tracey. Your own means of transport is essential.

Miho and Peter welcomed us into their holiday cottage and made sure that our toddler and we were all set up for the stay from the start. We then had an amazing vegetarian Japanese dinner which was fantastic and made with organic vegetables fresh from the garden! The house was warm and cosy even though it was the end of October. The travel, fiction and child story books made us feel very much at home. Even the toys, baby high chair and cot made the stay easy. The location is wonderful, we enjoyed a walk up the hill from the cottage and got close to sheep, ponies and spoilt by the beautiful views. It was a short drive to hound and hay tors, and a great location to explore dartmoor and devon in general. Thank you ☺️

Our stay with Miho and Peter could not have been more perfect! They were great hosts, striking the balance between being helpful and attentive, without being in any way intrusive (the extra, thoughtful touches of homemade afternoon tea on arrival, and a small selection of homemade preserves and farm produce was delightful!). Their home is in a lovely spot of Dartmoor, a good spot from which to explore the region. Next time we plan to stay for a week!

Lovely, Peaceful, rural location. Threshers Barn is located in the tiny hamlet of East Leigh, nr Harberton, about 3 miles from Totnes & Dartington, Dartmoor is about 10 miles one way, the coast 10 miles the other. Harberton and its ancient pub are about 1.5 miles down the road. The local scenery is spectacular, great for walking and cycling although it is very hilly. This is a double room with ensuite shower and loo and lovely views over the hills. There's room for a put-up bed, although it's a bit of a squeeze, however there's a single room next door which I'm happy to include in the booking for the price of an additional guest if it's available. Small family groups have found this arrangement works well. I provide bed and continental breakfast, which includes juice, fruit, home-made bread and a range of cereals. There's free broadband, but even better hardly any light pollution so it's great for stargazing! The farmhouse kitchen/dining room is a communal area. Breakfast is provided here. For guests staying more than a couple of nights basic food preparation facilities are available by previous arrangement. I'm here most of the time and happy to chat and advise how to get the best out of the locality if that is what visitors are interested in. If you're interested in a pilates session during your stay it's a good idea to arrange this before your visit. Stunning views over the South Hams Countryside. Ideal to access the coast and Dartmoor. Totnes, just 10 minutes away is a charming little town. We are in a beautiful, peaceful, rural location, accessible along deep and narrow Devon lanes, that not everyone may be comfortable driving down. We're also not very close to public transport. It is about 5 minutes drive (30 minutes walk) to the nearest village Harberton, which has a lovely pub and 10-15 minutes drive to the nearest town and public transport links in Totnes - about 4 miles away.les mer

We loved the location. Close to Totnes, Dartington and Dartmouth but also deep in the countryside ( but you do have to navigate the notorious Devon lanes to get to it!) We liked the peace and quiet, the views and the walk up the lane. Sasha made us very welcome and had left out stuff so we could make drinks when ever we wanted which was very welcome. The room was small but clean and comfortable with en suite which we weren't expecting so added bonus. Sasha had left out breakfast every day so we could have it whenever we wanted and a highlight was hearing her play the piano in the back ground while we ate it. If you were coming to an event at Dartington hall this would be a good place to choose as not far away. Also recommend lunch at Riverford Organic Farm Field Cafe. You have to book.

Sasha is a lovely host, warm and informal, making us feel at home; and her converted barn is in a gorgeous spot in Devon - deep in the country lanes, surround by impossibly green fields, but Sasha's directions for getting there are impeccable (and almost poetic, we realised as we were rereading them!). It is cosy and comfortable and good value for money. There was a sharp and sudden cold spell but Sasha had the heating on full blast so we did not suffer. Just wish we had booked in for longer. And next time we'll book in for Pilates classes!

Welcome to my home which is over 100 years old. The area is very residential and you are within walking distance of Plymouth University and the city. 150 meters from a shopping area where there are pubs, restaurants, takeaways and major supermarkets. I have a large double bedroom to rent out, in an old Victorian house 15/20 minutes walk from Plymouth City centre and the Historic Barbican. The house includes a living room, dining room, modern kitchen, four double bedrooms a bathroom downstairs with a shower and toilet, and a shower room upstairs with a seperate toilet. The house is spacious but only has parking for 1 guest car, but there is car space available within a 1 minute walk from the house. Public transport is only a 5 minute walk away, and the railway station is about a 10 minute walk away. Plymouth University is only about a 5 minutes from the house, and the Hoe and the waterfront are about 25 minutes walk from the house. The £40 quoted is for a large bedroom with a double bed, TV and your own sink unit. You can also use the living room to watch TV with me, that is if you want to.(see pictures). There is no cooked breakfast, but tea, coffee, toast and cereals are available if required. It is not intended that the guests use the kitchen to cook meals on a nightly basis. There is lots to see in Plymouth, including the famous Hoe, and the old Barbican. The city has approx. 260,000 people and is within easy reach of Dartmoor National Park, and the Eden Project in Cornwall. There is also a large choice of good restaurants and bars. If you require more than one room I do have another double bedroom which can be booked. Look for "Plymouth City and Historic Barbican 2", and if you can't find it just email me as I may have removed it for a short period of time. I hope you will like your stay here in Plymouth. Ian. Guests have access to both bathrooms, the living room, the kitchen for breakfast, the toilets and of course their bedroom. They can also use the back yard area, especially if it is a nice day to sit outside. As I live in the house I am available at any time to give any help that you need, especially on information about places to visit in Devon & Cornwall. The neighbourhood is very residential. You are about a 5/10 min walk from the main railway station and it is about (150 meters) to Mutlay Plain where you can catch a bus to the city centre or to some other parts of the city.les mer

It´s only a few minutes walk from the train station (perfect for travelling) and located in a nice area. Ian is very friendly, helpful, funny and the perfect host. If you feel like chatting, he´s very communicative and can give you a lot of good advices. If we´ll visit Plymouth again, we will stay at his house again.

Our 3 bedroom semi-detached property has been completely renovated and will appeal to you with its modern open living space and peaceful garden. There is a double bed, a bunk bed and a pull out single mattress which can fit in the small 3rd bedroom. A perfect kitchen/dining space with access to the garden, perfect for entertaining guests. A cosy and private front room perfect to relax and watch a movie. We live in a quiet residential neighbourhood called Beacon Park which is 5/10 minutes walk to Central Park. It would take 30 minutes to walk into the the city centre or 5 minutes by car. A good local pub is the Britannia Inn on Outland Road / Milehouse Road.les mer

My family and I had a fantastic time staying in Myriam's beautiful house. It was immaculately presented, my young kids loved playing with all the great toys which they'd kindly left out for us to use, Myriam is such an attentive and thoughtful host and answered all of my questions within minutes. It was a great experience and I'd highly recommend staying here.

First off, Myriam was wonderfully responsive, giving answers to questions by return which was hugely appreciated. Her home is very comfortable and reassuringly clean! It's well equipped and in a quiet road above town with easy and free parking. The garden looked lovely and I wish it had been sunny and warm, so we could have used it. If you coming to Plymouth and especially if you have a young family, do stay here! Thank you Myriam.

Myriam was a great host and we had a fantastic visit to Plymouth. We have 3 young kids and this was an ideal place for us to stay for the night. Firstly, Caroline was a great host as I had to contact her on numerous occasions to rearrange our holiday and she was most patient and prompt in all our communications. The Lodge was set in the most beautiful scenery and the upstairs living accommodation allowed us to take advantage of the views, as did the patio/verandah on which we ate all our meals. We had a fabulous time celebrating my father's 70th birthday and would thoroughly recommend the whole experience to anyone. Thank you Caroline, you couldn't get better value for money!

This lodge is just simply amazing! Ideal for families and groups as it fits 6 comfortably. Easy to go via GPS and fascilities are perfect and ideal. It is a complete house with virtually ALMOST EVERYTHING you need from tv to cooking utensils! Nice area as well and house is superbly furnished!! Would definitely recommend this to anyone in the Devon area! Only problem is that there is a toll to exit cornwall so its 1.50 each time you make a trip to another area, but other than that, everything in the house is in tip top condition. Clean and absolutely modern.

This is a cosy bed with a memory foam mattress, with a private shower room. Also the living space can contain a spare bed and a sofa bed. There is a partition door, which allows for partial privacy. It is possible to accommodate 4 in the space (this is a compact layout but great for value family stays). A travel cot can also be added. Hot and cold drinks included. You are welcome to join us in the communal space. Cooking facilities can be arranged on request. This is a great space for couples or families. The double bed is tucked around the corner and has a sort of door from the main area. The shower room is also private and then the living space can be a single bed and a sofa or two singles or another double bed (its a comfy sofa bed!) You can also access the lounge area and help yourself to hot/cold drinks as well as use our downstairs loo! We live in the main property and you can interact as much or as little as you like. Royal William Yard is a fabulous place to visit with lots of great bars and restaurants. We recommend taking the water taxi around to the Barbican and finishing up at the Fisherman's Arms. We are close to buses 32 (Millbrook - Plymouth) and 34 (Derriford- Royal William Yard - Plymouth). We are 25mins walk from the railway station or 5mins on the 32 bus. We walk to a lot of places and it is easy to walk into the centre. We have lots of people to stay and it is unlikely that you will be the only guests. Our guests often socialise together. If you stay for a longer time, the beds are changed weekly. This is not a hotel but we do our best to make our home accommodating. We are a busy family but we still get the house cleaned twice a week! We have some great trips to share with you and even discounts with a local pub!les mer

This was honestly one of the best AirBnB places I have stayed. Nikki and her family are incredibly warm and welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them and felt it was a home away from home. We had a wonderful stay with captain Terry (has permission from wife to be called so) and crew Nicky, Charlie and Olie. We were welcomed, given full access to the common parts of the 'galion' (living room and kitchen) and generally speaking treated just like family. Our little girl (3 yrs old) enjoyed the company of the friendly resident little ones (4 and 5) and even got to go out and play at the park with them. Technically speaking we stayed in "the den" the room on the ground floor which is not very big but will accommodate two adults and 1 child perfectly. The expensive mattress (ask Terry) of the double bed was exquisite although the cabin-like fitting could prove problematic for the taller ones of us. Geographically speaking the house is nicely situated, not too far from the town centre and in a quiet, residential and one of the better-looking parts of town. Overall a really nice 'live like locals with the locals' experience.

We travelled to Plymouth with two of our film crew and my tween daughter for the American Thanksgiving events down at the Barbican. These two days were my daughter's favorite of our week in the UK. Nikki's family could not have been more helpful or friendly. The rooms felt like home, breakfasts were just right, and we were able to make an impromptu feast for Thanksgiving Dinner from what we bought at the local supermarket. Just a great time all around. Thank you!

We stayed for a few days with Nikki and her family for a short break away from London. They were excellent, welcoming and helpful hosts and their knowledge of the local area was invaluable when we were planning what do do during our stay. Latitude 52 is a landmark building situated about 1 mile from the City Centre, and right opposite Devonport Dockyard. There is plenty of free on street parking, and it is adjacent to numerous bus routes, Devonport Stn, the A38 and the Torpoint ferry. Latitude 52 was previously a sailors rest, where seamen would pay a few shillings to have the luxury of a bedroom and a hot shower instead of sleeping on board. Now it is home to 100 contemporary apartments based around a communal central atrium. A 2nd floor West facing contemporary apartment with views over the dockyard and the river Tamar beyond. There's a comfy double bed with memory foam mattress, a well appointed open plan kitchen / living room The entire place is yours to enjoy I live in the same building so am normally around to lend you a cup of sugar, or provide you with any extra information required about the area. Failing that, my phone is never off! Latitude 52, is based in Devonport, Plymouth Right on several bus routes into pretty much everywhere. Opposite the torpoint ferry to Cornwall. Free parking adjacent to the building. Latitude 52 is a residential building, so please can we request that you don't make too much noise to keep the neighbours happy :-)les mer

Where do we begin...the apartment was absolutely incredible. The only criticism is that our stay was too short! Absolutely beautiful surroundings and wonderful place. Unfortunately, the famous Bakery was closed so it's good to check whether it has reopened when visiting. However, we found another great place for breakfast so this wasn't too much of an issue. The last house in the hamlet with only fields beyond and very quiet. Tastefully furnished with private outdoor seating area, BBQ & access to newly renovated outdoor swimming pool (photo coming soon) We are also walking distance from the Steiner School, Shumacher College, Dartington Hall, village shop & The Cott Inn. Totnes is less than 2 miles away along a river path. Fantastic walks (or runs) from the door. This apartment is part of the last house in the village with only fields beyond and is very quiet. The loudest sound is usually the whistle from the local steam railway over a mile away. However BT Infinity fast broadband has just arrived & there's pretty good mobile reception (for Devon) so you won't be completely cut off! The apartment is completely self-contained with its own entrance and has a good-sized bright bedroom/studio with a table and chairs, a small kitchen area (with sink, fridge, kettle, toaster, tea and coffee making and a gas cooker with hob and oven), a bathroom (with bath and thermostatically controlled shower) and an entrance hall area with space to hang coats. The room is tastefully furnished with a stone Minster working fireplace, an Art deco desk, Ercol quaker chairs and original oil paintings and etchings. There is also a large 30in LCD TV with DVD player (photo not updated yet) and a Sony clock/radio/ipod player. During the winter firewood is supplied for the open fire. There is also a very sunny, private outside seating area with a table, two chairs and a small BBQ overlooking the front garden. There's plenty of wild life! We regularly see deer and rare Green Woodpeckers as well as all the more common birds. You can park your car right outside the apartment. The 5ft ziplink double bed splits into two singles if required ( photo not yet updated) We can provide a camp-bed for a 3rd person (or child) for a small additional cost. However due to the limited space we don't recommend this for stays of longer than 3 nights maximum. The kitchen is small so if you want to cook 3 course dinners every night it's probably not for you. Full access to the whole apartment. I'm available on phone and email prior to your arrival. And as I live next door I'm there to help if you have any questions or need anything. Where else can you reach the sea in around half an hour or be up on the wilds of Dartmoor in even less time. But there are also fantastic walks from the door. One of the best wild swimming spots in the UK (in the Guardian's top 10) is less than a mile from the house. The medieval market town of Totnes is also less than 10 minutes drive with its many wonderful shops, cafes and restaurants. Totnes Station on the main line to London is less than 10 minutes drive and there are regular buses from the end of our road to the station or in the other direction towards Buckfastleigh and Ashburton. The apartment is also less than 10 minutes drive from the A38, the dual carriageway that links to the M5. The house was built in 1962 and was designed by modernist Arthur Grayson for the novelist and composer Bruce Montgomery. Montgomery was quite well known at the time and wrote the music for the first 6 Carry on movies. He was also a friend of Agatha Christie who apparently came to dinner at the house.les mer

This property is exactly as advertised. My wife, baby son and I enjoyed seven nights here in August 2014. A beautiful guest house on the edge of Dartmoor offering full board accommodation and guided walks into Dartmoor National Park, Devon, UK. The accommodation is a series of converted barns, restored to ensure your stay is both beautiful and tranquil. The site and the buildings were part of a working farm over 300 years ago. Based in heartland rural West Devon there is a strong farming community here, that gives it a unique character. The lush green valleys look out on to the dramatic Dartmoor National Park; a walker's paradise! Benefits of our remote location include our own source of fresh spring water, filtered by the woodland behind us and pumped straight up through the farm yard. We also burn sustainable fuel in the form of wood pellets for our heating. The rooms are a collection of old stables and a milking parlour that have been transformed into ensuite double and twin bedrooms. To ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay, each room is also equipped with Freeview television and DVD player, as well as WiFi (beware that the WiFi has adopted the region's pace of life!). As well as a spacious private bedroom, guests will enjoy access to all the outdoor space, which includes a big field and garden to relax in, a sun terrace and the old stone courtyard. Having grown up in West Devon and knowing the area well, there is a treasure trove of adventures to be had! I can help you with ideas as much as you would like. I also offer guided walks into the wild Dartmoor National Park where I can introduce you to the history and the culture of this unique landscape. Our neighbourhood is very quiet! We live down a private lane, tucked in front of a wood. It's beautiful! And at night the skies are dark and the stars are bright. The perfect antidote to your city neighbourhood! A car is the best way to get around. However we do offer a transfer service from the Exeter St Davids and Exeter Airport. See the website for more details. We are a family and whilst you stay with us we will do our best to make you feel welcome and at home. This is a very relaxing and calm base from which to explore Devon and Cornwall and we look forward to meeting you!les mer

The best located cottage in Kingsand (probably) for sea views and beaches, Storm Cottage is right on the sea wall with three private balconies with stunning sea views. Newly refurbished, the house is simply styled with a New England feel and touches of Cath Kidston and Mini Moderns. The living room is bathed in light and there are three pubs within 200 yds and two sandy/pebble safe beaches with clear rockpools. Kingsand is situated in Cornwall's forgotten corner - a ferry hop away from Plymouth. The house is an upside down house with the living space upstairs affording beautiful views of the historic Cawsand bay. The main bedroom has stunning sea views with an en-suite basement bathroom with rolltop bath and portholes out to the sea! The decor is calm and creamy Farrow and Ball with a New England feel, with small luxuries like Smeg and Dualit kitchen equipment and home furnishings from Cath Kidston and Mini Moderns, as well as Cornish brands like Seakisses and artist Helen Round. Our cabin style small bedroom with two singles works well for (good) kids too. They'll love being right next to two beaches, with a football sized yard outside. We have a sunny courtyard balcony to dine out on with sea views. For tech junkies we are fully broadbanded up with superfast wifi and a smart TV with DVD. All of the house, if required - with parking for three cars. We can help provide an arrival box of food (please discuss in advance) and help with where to eat etc. Or we can leave you totally alone! Kingsand is a very special place. Located in Cornwall's forgotten corner, it's a twin village is Cawsand. Its three beaches are safe and perfect for kids - and the bay, which looks out to Plymouth Sounds, is a favourite with yachties and swimmers. There are three great pubs, serving good food, a post office and 4 village shops. The village is full of higgledy-piggedly lanes with sea-salt washed pastel coloured Georgian cottages. Foot and car ferries travel regularly to Plymouth, and the majestic Royal William Yard. Dartmoor, Devon and the Eden Project are all with easy reach. By train, disembark at Plymouth or St Germans - and get a taxi to Kingsand. By car, take the Torpoint Ferry from Plymouth, or follow the A38 and turn off at the Trerulefoot roundabout just beyond Saltash. There are up to three parking spaces outside the cottage - and a public carpark 100 meters away. Please note 2 trips cancelled previously on AirBnB due to refurb work taking longer than anticipated. That work is now complete. No dogs due to owners allergies. Sorry! Access to the cottage parking is narrow. Nervous drivers or owners of lovely new cars may want to initially park in the public carpark - and size up the space first.les mer
