“Phone Number: 38210266 The rich Aboriginal history of North Stradbroke Island centres around Dunwich, home of the Quandamooka People. The Goompi Trail is a historical walk with a local Aboriginal guide, which takes participants on a leisurely 1-hour walk along the foreshore of Dunwich overlooking beautiful Moreton Bay. Learn about Aboriginal artefacts, traditional hunting methods, bush tucker, medicines, traditional ochre’s and see the remnants of an old rock fish trap.”

“Best food on the island. Get in early at peak times and grab a table on the front deck overlooking the point. Can also recommend a takeaway burrito or beastie burger to eat in the parklands. Sunshine lattes are first class too. Attached organic groceries in “green room”.”

“Makes scrumptious fresh bread and croissants each morning which are just short walk away from The Kraken. Staff at Chiller's are VERY chilled and this cafe tends to operate on "island time", so be prepared to wait. Why not join them by soaking up the "slow down" vibes? The warm fresh bread and chocolate croissants are definitely worth any wait!”

“Probably the best swimming beach on Minjerribah and a favourite of teenagers. The best thing about Minjerribah beaches is that there are so many of them separated by headlands, so, if it is blowing too hard at one, walk around the corner and the next beach is calm and peaceful.”

“Blue Lake is an area of special cultural significance for Quandamooka people who call the lake Karboora, meaning ‘deep silent pool’. The Blue Lake area is within the Naree Budjong Djara National Park. Please enjoy the experience and leave only footprints. Walk the 5.2km (return) track to the lake through wallum woodlands, flowering heath and stunted eucalypts. Wear good walking shoes, take a hat and water. Medium level of fitness required.”
