This freshly renovated, self-contained apartment is in a desirable Toowoomba area, close to St Vincents Hospital, boarding schools, the CBD, and in walking distance to Rangeville shopping centre and Picnic Point. This apartment is ideally suited to a couple, small family or for a work stay. The apartment is downstairs from the main residence and has a large living room, full kitchen and access to an outdoor entertaining area including BBQ and garden. It has its own entrance with self check-iEnjoy the comfort of the Queen-size main bedroom with air conditioning (as well as a ceiling fan and electric blankets). High quality linen is provided for your stay. There is ample storage throughout the apartment with drawers and hanging space, as well as a TV in the bedroom, and further storage in the living area.
The fully equipped kitchenette incorporates a dishwasher, cooktop, small fridge, microwave plus all crockery and cooking items - perfect for a longer stay. Guests may also use the BBQ facilities in the outdoor area just outside the back door. Tea and coffee starter packs are provided.
The apartment is suitable for singles' or couples' stays ranging from a weekend, through to medium or longer term accommodation - make this a home away from home if you're here for a while. Small families are welcome too as there is additional bedding in the lounge room including a day bed (which converts to a single bed with a full innerspring mattress), as well as a trundle bed. A roll away bed can be made available for a third child by special request or a portable cot with all linen is available for hire upon request. The unit is best suited to a maximum of two adults as the bathroom is accessed through the main bedroom.
The living area includes a second TV which is connected to streaming and includes free access to Netflix and Fetch. There is unlimited wifi access. There are also games and books available which can be enjoyed at the extendable dining table or from the comfy lounge chairs.
The apartment is on ground level and accessible for people with limited mobility. However, please be aware there is a single step into the bathroom.
The laundry, which is immediately adjacent to the apartment, is available for guest use .
There is designated off-street visitor parking immediately outside the unit on the LH side driveway.
Please be aware the apartment is located below the hosts' home so there is the potential for some low level noise from upstairs. Your hosts are a retired couple so generally any noise will be minimal; however we do have family (including grandchildren) who come and visit!
We don't mind you inviting a few people to visit for a meal (including use of the BBQ and associated areas by prior agreement with the hosts). However, parties are not permitted.
We will accept overnight stays in some situations - please contact us first as there will be a surcharge of $30 for cleaning. Otherwise our price includes cleaning for a 2 day or longer stay.
Toowoomba is known as the Garden City of Australia featuring beautiful parks, lovely walking tracks (both throughout the city and its parks, as well as surrounding bushland areas) and the annual Carnival of Flowers in September. Picnic Point, overlooking the escarpment back to the coast is one of Toowoomba's premier parkland areas and boasts a delightful cafe, which is located an easy 20 min walk or five min drive from the apartment.
As a large regional city, Toowoomba is home to many entertainment venues including award-winning restaurants, the magnificent heritage listed performance centre (the Empire Theatre), as well as hotels and night clubs, cinema complexes, Grand Central Shopping Centre plus several wonderful tourist attractions like Cobb & Co museum or multiple art galleries. With the CBD only a short Uber / Taxi or bus ride away, you can explore everything this beautiful city has to offer.
This Rangeville property is located in a safe neighbourhood, close to a number of schools and St Vincents Private Hospital; plus the local shopping centre can cater to all your needs during your stay including major supermarket, coffee shop, bakery and pharmacy.
