Steder å bo i Godshill
This is the original Spice Bus that fans will know and love from the movie Spice World but with an interior makeover. Working with some incredible designers, we’ve turned it into accommodation so you can stay the night and live out every fan’s wildest dreams. The bus has the added bonus of being situated in an stunning location overlooking the marina. There is a Bar, Restaurant and a small shop on site. You can reach us by land, air or sea!
The outside of the bus looks exactly as it did in the Spice World movie, with its iconic Union Jack-painted exterior. I’m a huge fan of the band and have tried to include as many little touches as possible inspired by the girls and their music, to make the inside just as iconic as the outside! Inside, guests will have the run of both floors, which have been lovingly renovated with little nods to each of the Spice Girls and some fairly bold interiors. The bus can sleep up to three people, with two sharing a double bed and one on a single day bed. Downstairs: The driver’s seat remains at the front of the bus – sadly no Meatloaf! Towards the back of the bus there’s a spacious seating area with a table and three Union Jack cinema-style chairs for relaxing in front of the TV or listening to Wannabe on repeat on the old school CD player. Upstairs: There is a double bed at the back of the bus, as well as a day bed, which can accommodate a third guest if needed. There is also a separate dressing room area, complete with rail and dressing table – perfect for Spice Girl-inspired makeovers. Please note, I have no official affiliation with the Spice Girls - I just want fellow fans to enjoy the Spice Bus as much as I have. I’m looking for guests who share my love of the Spice Girls, have a verified Airbnb profile and have great reviews! Please also identify your guests when requesting to book. A facilities block will be located a few steps from the bus for your private use. In the facilities block, there will be a toilet, sink and shower room, as well as toiletries and towels. Within this block there is also a kitchenette area with a sink, kettle, microwave, cutlery and crockery. There is a mini fridge inside the bus. Note, there are no bathroom facilities on the bus itself. As the bus still has it’s original structure, there are a number of steps so unfortunately, it is not suited for all accessibility needs. Other things to note: ● There are no kitchen facilities or running water on the bus. There are shops and a restaurant within a minutes’ walk ● There is no WiFi on the bus, there is WiFi at the onsite bar/restaurant ● The bus will be located on Island Harbour Marina ● All guests must be 12 years or older ● The bus sleeps three people ● Height restrictions are 1.7 metres so watch your head! ● Towels will be provided in the separate facilities block ● The bus has electricity points Please also note there is no smoking on the bus or within the grounds and sadly no pets allowed!
The bus is located within a stunning marina based on the River Medina, just 2 miles from Newport town centre where there are lots of shops, restaurants and bars. It is reachable on foot within approximately 25 minutes or there is a bus stop half a mile up the lane. You will also find Medina Leisure Centre and Theatre close by. The Isle of Wight is an incredible place to visit, for what's going on during your stay take a look at Visit Isle of Wight!

House with three double bedrooms on a beautiful tree-lined street in Southsea. Can accommodate 6 (plus two more using air mattress). Free on-street parking, wifi, garden and study. 12 page feature in March 2015 Ideal Home magazine.
Stylish three bedroom house on a beautiful tree-lined street in Southsea. Flat screen television with Apple TV, Netflix, DVD player, etc. Small private garden with a large comfortable outdoor sofa. The house has been tastefully decorated with a good mix of antique, designer and second hand furniture and decorations. There are lots of great period features throughout the property including high ceilings, original picture rails, coving, ceiling roses, stained glass windows, fireplaces and wooden floors. Please note that as described above, this is an old house so if you are looking for an eclectic house with bags of character this is the place however if you are wanting something immaculate and uncluttered you may prefer somewhere else. Upstairs there are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has large bay window looking out over the tree-lined street and a modern four-poster bed. The second bedroom is a bright and sunny room at the back of the house overlooking the garden. It has a very comfortable double bed and armchair. The third bedroom has a zip-link bed system so can be set up as either a double bed or two singles. Please advise of your preference at time of booking. Also upstairs is the main bathroom which has a deep double-ended bath and overhead shower. Downstairs there is an entrance hall off of which is the living room which boasts a large fireplace (currently not working), comfortable seating, high ceilings (with original coving and ceiling rose), wooden floors, stained glass windows and a large flatscreen HD television, DVD player and AppleTV. Off of the living room is the study where there is a large desk should you need to do any work during your holiday. There are a LOT of books in the house which you're welcome to read during your stay and a good selection of board games and movies. The downstairs hall has a music area with a large collection of LPs and a stereo. There is a small downstairs WC and then at the end of the hall is everybody's favourite part of the house - the kitchen! It's a large open plan kitchen with exposed brick walls and lots of great period features. It's fully equipped with gas hobs, electric oven, Dualit toaster, Bosch kettle, Smeg fridge, etc. The dining table has a bench and two dining chairs that can comfortably seat 4-5 however there are extra chairs in the study and folding chairs in the conservatory to accommodate extra guests. The kitchen opens out into the conservatory where hidden under the countertop is a washing machine, dish washer, microwave and a second freezer. The garden is small but functional with a comfortable three seat outdoor sofa and small firepit on a raised decking area. There is space down the side of the house at the back to safely store your bicycle if you have one. The house is located on a beautiful tree-lined street of gorgeous Victorian terraced houses. It is blocked off at one end meaning it's not used as a thoroughfare and therefore there is hardly any traffic. It's conveniently located just a 5-10 minute walk from the many shops, bars and restaurants on Albert Road, a 15-20 minute walk to the seafront and has a Co-op, greengrocers, Spar, Lidl, Tesco Extra all within 5 minutes walk. Fratton train station is only a 10 minute walk from the house and from there you can get direct trains to London in just 90 minutes. There is no permit parking on our road and there are always parking spots on the road outside the house. I hope that's covered most things but if you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Frensham Road is a beautiful tree-lined street in Southsea which due to it being closed to traffic at one end is very quiet and peaceful. You can normally park on the road directly outside the house (for free). There are 5 supermarkets (Co-op, Tesco Extra, Lidl, Kwiki Mart and Spar) within a 3-5 minute walk from the house. Albert Road, where there are a large number of shops, cafes, pubs, bars and restaurants, is a pleasant 10-15 minute walk or there are a number of pubs located closer.

Driftwood is a luxury, converted boathouse with stunning views of the creek from every room. It's in an area of outstanding natural beauty. You'll love the pool, kayaking up the creek, fishing from the pontoons, cosy log-burner and amazing sunsets. Driftwood is a beautiful converted boathouse on the water's edge, in the woodland grounds of our home. With creek views from every room, it's a great place to unwind and escape all year round. Relax and BBQ by the large pool, fish and crab from the private pontoons and slipways or use one of the kayaks to paddle up Wootton Creek (an area of outstanding natural beauty and haven for wildlife). In winter you can cosy up next to the huge log-burner and truly relax. Driftwood is ideal for walkers and cyclists as it's on the Isle of Wight Coastal Path, only 5 minutes walk from the Fishbourne Ferry; easy if you want to leave your car at home. A local bike hire company will arrange for hire bikes to be delivered to you as soon as you arrive so you'll be able to use the numerous cycle ways to explore the beautiful island scenery. On the ground floor there is a spacious open-plan dining, kitchen and living area with oak floors and a large log-burner. The kitchen is well-equipped with a large American fridge freezer and Dualit Nespresso coffee machine. There's also a shower and toilet, a utility room with washing machine and microwave, and a large entrance hall. Double doors open to the patio area next to the pool, where there is teak dining furniture and a Weber barbecue. Upstairs there is one double bedroom with a double bed and ensuite shower room, and two additional double bedrooms with twin beds in each. The large family bathroom has his and hers sinks plus a luxurious roll-top bath where you can relax and enjoy the views over the creek. The very large south-facing swimming pool projects out into the creek and provides a panoramic view as you relax on the loungers, settee and chairs and enjoy the sunset. The house comfortably sleeps 6 people but can stretch to 7 if the downstairs day-bed is used. (There is an extra charge of £30 for extra linen and towels if the day bed is required). You have access to the whole house, the pool ( shared with our family), pontoons and slipways. You are also welcome to share the grounds with us. We don’t want you to go home without seeing the red squirrels, wood peckers and buzzards . We’ll pop down to see you when you arrive or whenever you want us, but won’t if you don’t! Well behaved dogs are welcome (maximum of 2 dogs). Please let us know if you would like to bring a dog. We ask that they are kept downstairs and not left alone in the main living area. There is a tiled hallway where they can look out of the door at the view! There is an extra cleaning charge of £30 per dog. This will be requested as an extra charge through Airbnb. We live on a quiet leafy lane, just 5 minutes walk from the car ferry, the award-winning local pub and Fishbourne beach. Fishbourne has its own very friendly yacht club so if you’re a sailor or would like to be one, just let us know and we can organise a day’s sailing or some lessons. Walk 10 minutes along the coastal path and you’ll find Quarr Abbey with its beautiful church, ancient ruins, fantastic café, farm shop, nature trails and pigs. Fishbourne is centrally located and is a great base for exploring the whole Island. We are just 9 minutes drive from the Isle of Wight Festival site. Cowes with its famous August sailing week, is just 20 minutes away. By car: There are 2 parking spaces right next to the boathouse. By bicycle: If you bring your own, you can store it in our shed. We provide cycling maps and a pump! The Isle of Wight is a cyclists’ paradise with lots of fantastic cycle routes and a cycling festival ( in October). You can hire bikes from Two Elements in Cowes and they will deliver the bikes to you. By foot: You can walk from the ferry and don’t have to bring your car. We are right on the Isle of Wight coastal path so you can walk anywhere, very easily! We provide walking maps and lots of suggestions for the best places to go. There is a Walking Festival in September. By bus: The bus stop is 10 minutes walk away. Buses will take you all over the Isle of Wight. By air: The nearest airport is Southampton, but Bournemouth, Gatwick and Heathrow are all good as well. If you have your own small plane you can land on the Island at Bembridge and we will come and get you. By private boat: If you'd like to arrive by boat just let us know. We can arrange for you to be picked up in Portsmouth and transported by very fast rib directly to our pontoon (weather and tide dependant of course). If you have your own boat, you can moor it on our pontoon during your stay. Just contact us to find out more. Because of its beautiful location, our house has been used for photo shoots. Please get in contact if you would like to arrange a shoot. It's not far to go if you'd like to rent a rib, learn to drive one or have a fast rib ride. Our good friends and neighbours, Rebel Marine, are right next door and will arrange everything for you. If it's a nice day, we might use the pool too but it’s so big there’s plenty of room for all of us! The pool is heated to remove the chill; please don't expect it to be hot! The pool is open from May to end of September. It is the only pool on the island that is right on the water.

Vil anbefale å bo her.

    Julian2019-06-12T00:00:00Z
Alt i alt, fantastisk tur!

    Brittany2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jeg har vært heldig nok til å bo her to ganger i løpet av en måned, og av helt andre grunner. Det er ganske perfekt, den eneste ulempen er at det bare er ett drivved å leie!

The room is in a house based in Newport on the Isle of Wight close to a shop. Space is small but has what you need. It is highly suitable for short stay guests such as cyclists, walkers and explorers. It`s designed for guests who want a roof over their heads with some comfort. It has on-suit facilities and is self-contained...There is a bunk bed so two people can stay, but it is really only suitable for one..... Please contact me before booking if you are not sure about the place.
My self contained bolt hole is suitable for a solo traveller: e.g Cyclist, Ramblers, Island Explorers, Sportsperson and guests who are not looking for the Ritz, but a small place to sleep, cook and watch TV and not cost too much. The room is small. It`s not luxurious, but comfortable. It`s suitable for a younger person.
The house and room are located in a built up neighbourhood. There is a narrow driveway and garden where you can sit at a picnic bench. The washing machine and dryer are outside with pay meter. Takes 20p coins (used to take pound coins, but won`t accept the new £1 coin ) The room has an electric meter that takes pound coins. even the new £1 coin.

The Squeak is one of four beautifully restored barn conversions located within Moor farm, set in idyllic countryside only half a mile away from the village of Godshill, arguably one of the most picturesque villages on the Island. With its historic church, thatched cottages and tea rooms it enjoys a wealth of character and charm all of which are within walking distance. There really is something for all the family to explore including model village, museums, gift shops, pubs and restaurants. For couples and families wanting a more relaxing walking holiday there are many miles of public footpaths and countryside to explore on your door step. The resort town of Shanklin with its beaches, seaside attractions and thatched cottages is only a short drive away. The Red Squirrel footpath/cycle trail runs from Cowes to Sandown, passes through the courtyard of Moor Farm taking in some stunning wildlife habitats from woodlands to wetlands. You may also spot visiting ducks in the farmyard pond, which has been recently created for enjoyment of guests. You can also access a local footpath (GL27) close to the barn, leading to Godshill Village (approx 15 mins walk.) DOGS PERMITTED AT AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF GBP35.00 PER DOG PER WEEK - MAX 1
Godshill Godshill is the quintessential English Village, and boasts some of the oldest architecture on the Isle of Wight. With its delightful medieval church, charming thatched-roofed cottages and a winding main-street lined with traditional tearooms, Godshill is as picturesque as it is popular. It is also known for being the site of the first ever Isle of Wight Festival, which took place at Ford Farm in 1968. Whatever your interests there are plenty of things to do in Godshill during a visit. Along with its collection of traditional tearooms the village contains an interesting range of shops offering local crafts and produce, such as ciders, pickles, mustards and biscuits. Godshill also has a very popular and highly detailed model village. The medieval All Saints Church (which gave the village its name!) overlooks the village from the hill and is a short but steep climb up either the steps or Church Hollow road. Whether you are looking for a traditional cream tea or a tasty evening meal there is an excellent selection of places to eat in Godshill. The tearooms are a regular haunt for visitors and locals alike, and the local pubs are family friendly, with high beams and cosy fireplaces and are also highly rated for their food. With its central location Godshill makes a great place to base yourself for a visit to the Isle of Wight. As Godshill is located near the centre of the Island, there are plenty of direct buses northwards to Newport, across the Island to Ventnor, Shanklin and Sandown and eastwards to Ryde.

Little Granville is a cosy cottage in the countryside, about ten minutes from the sandy beaches of Ventnor, and on the edge of Whitwell village. It sleeps two and is comfortably and fully equipped to provide everything you need for a peaceful, relaxing stay on the beautiful Isle of Wight. Centrally heated and double-glazed, with far-reaching views. BOOKINGS ARE TAKEN ON A WEEKLY BASIS, FRIDAY TO FRIDAY.
A car is necessary, as the nearest bus service is infrequent and over a mile away. However, we are in an ideal spot for those who enjoy walking and cycling, with paths and tracks within easy reach. The many and varied attractons on the Island appeal to different tastes, and they are all within a 20-30minutes drive. There is a large selection of pubs and restaurants in the area and a plentifully stocked supermarket in Niton village, a couple of miles away.
Surrounded by fields, with beautiful views across the downs, we try to make our garden a home for bees, insects and wildlife. Many varieties of birds can be seen from the cottage, including "Fred", the pheasant, who appears regularly to be fed.

Shanklin Manor dates back to the Doomsday Book and has previously been a house and farm, being the home to the various Lords of the Shanklin Manor for many years. It was purchased by the local council in the early 20th century, with much of the land put into public ownership, such as Big Meade park and Shanklin Cricket Club, with the house sold on to the Workers’ Travel Association for a hotel for the underprivileged and then turned into a luxurious hotel in 1979. It has now been extensively renovated and restored to bring it back to its former glory, as well as meet the demands of the modern world. The duplex apartment comprises of two large bedrooms, one a master double bedroom with ensuite and the second twin bedroom, as well as a family bathroom, all on the first floor. There is also a toilet on the ground floor. All of the bedrooms benefit from parkland and woodland views, as well as views across farmland. The living area on the ground floor is spacious and open plan, with separate seating area with leather sofas and a home cinema and music system with LCD TV, HD DVD/CD player, Freeview, mobile/tablet jack and radio tuner, with speakers and controls in all bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as a dining area and kitchen. The kitchen includes an integrated dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, oven, hob and microwave, all with a granite worksurface and kitchen lighting. The grounds and gardens extend out to 2 acres, with a listed walled garden and summerhouse, as well as a private gate for access the adjacent picturesque parkland. Just next door is Shanklin Cricket Club, where you can enjoy a summer’s afternoon watching the action, as well as the Big Meade park surrounding the manor, with open grassland, a duck pond and children’s play area. Finally, the historic St Blasius’ Church can be found at the entrance to Shanklin Manor, which was the former church to the manor and dates back to 12th century. Just five minutes walk away is the Old Village, with the famous thatched cottages and a selection of local shops, pubs and restaurants, and the main town centre following afterwards. Finally, it is just five minutes walk from the cliff top and Esplanade with its sandy beaches.

Highlands takes its name from the imposing Victorian residence that stood on the cliff top site for over 100 years. Originally built for the Lord Mayor of London, Sir James Thomson Ritchie, and subsequently used by Reverend William Page Roberts, Bishop of Salisbury, for his final years, it was later owned by the McAuslane family, who turned it into a well known hotel. After its closure, it was then used by Upper Chine School for its final years. After being left for a decade, the current Highlands was then constructed, a grand and impressive mock Georgian manor house that lived up to its predecessor in terms of scale and views across Shanklin. However, it was never finished and derelict, open to the elements, for a decade. Now, after an extensive refurbishment and conversion, it is now restored into 5 spacious, luxurious apartments. Each of the apartments offer their own quirks and special features, from the penthouse’s unique roof top conservatory and balcony with its fantastic views to the annexe’s duplex apartment, the property is spread across four levels from the garden to the penthouse with annexe to side. The property benefits from spectacular panoramic sea, town and countryside views around the building, going across to Sandown Bay, Shanklin town and the Downs towards Ventnor. All of the apartments benefit from oak furniture and leather sofas, oak floored living areas with fitted kitchens with granite worktops and all your key appliances, 32″ LED TV with Freesat and DVD and free wifi. Communal gardens are available for all apartments to enjoy with seating available alongside off road parking and cycle parking bays. For apartment 4, the property is a second floor loft penthouse apartment accessed via communal area on first floor with double and single bedrooms. There is a bathroom, kitchen/dinner and conservatory on roof living area with private balcony with views over Sandown Bay. Apartments 1, 2, 3 and 5 are also available to book individually or in any combination for larger groups. The property is found on the coastal path between Shanklin and Sandown and just down the road from National Trust land and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is also a few minutes walk from the picturesque Old Village and its thatched cottages, plus shops, pubs, restaurants and the main town, as well as the cliff top, Esplanade and Shanklin’s beaches.
