Comfortable and inviting space with an incredible view. Large common areas for big groups. Secluded and quiet. Would book this home again and again.
I visited this property with 5 friends for a ladies weekend. The kitchen at the house is so fun for a group; easy to cook, well stocked with the basics and a nice place to sit and chat over morning coffee. The furnishings are dated and the interior of the house needs a coat of paint, but the house is nice and functional and everything was really clean and accommodating. I also thought the correspondence about the rental was really friendly and inviting.
Although the space is large and accommodating, it really could use some TLC. Upgrades are needed for the floors and main bathroom. Also, there is no TV or operational radio; although wi-fi is available. That said, it has a spectacular view, well equipped kitchen and laundry area; master bed was comfortable.
This was a lovely stay in a beautiful home with a great view, a fireplace and a huge porch. The hosts were very responsive. Thank you!
House was beautifully decorated and the view from bedroom and deck was amazing! Thank you!

The beds were comfy but you would be well advised avoid the questionably safe inversion table. There was also a vague smell of kitty litter, perhaps due to the feral cats who frequent the garage area? The deck had a beautiful view of the bay, however the unit didn't have a lot of privacy since the owner was in the unit or prominently on the grounds for most of our visit. A couple of weeks after our stay we got a mysterious request for additional money due to such issues including crumbs in the freezer and liquid drips on the kitchen floor. We enjoyed our visit to Port Townsend, but will stay somewhere else next time we are in the area.
I loved the place, very beautiful and awesome view of the lake. The rooms were very spacious and nice. My only complaint is that the pictures I saw from the Airbnb listing are not accurate of the place I got. I was expecting a two bedroom with one queen bed and two twin beds and I got: One bedroom with one queen bed, a second bedroom with one queen bed and and a queen bed that comes from the wall. It is not bad at all but the reason I chose this place over others that were offered at the same location, was bc of the layout and the twin beds.
We loved staying in the nature getaway with Tony and his wife. Both of them, and their puppies, were so welcoming and kind. We were welcomed with bread and chocolate and lots of ideas for things to do while we were in Chimacum. We got engaged while we were there and we couldn't be more grateful that we had such a beautiful place to celebrate the start of the newest chapter of our lives.
We had a wonderful time staying at Tony's cabin. He was very easy to communicate with and flexible with our changing plans. The studio is lovely with a nice open kitchen. The gardens are incredible with fresh raspberries and plenty of spots to read books, lounge or eat a meal. We didn't want to leave!
Our stay at Tony's Nature Getaway was exactly the restorative wilderness retreat we were looking for. We were charmed with Tony and his wife's hospitality and generosity for sharing their beautifully curated homestead in the forest (and the delicious homemade bread/Seattle-made chocolate). The studio was perfectly cozy, with a lovely kitchen perfect for preparing a farm fresh meal with groceries we purchased at the Port Townsend food coop, super comfy rocking chairs, and awesomely comfy bed. We hiked a little around on the trails from the house, and loved experiencing the rain-soaked aliveness of the Pacific Northwest in February, compared to the frigid weather back home in Boston. We thoroughly enjoyed talking to Tony about his adventures and projects, and thank him for a great stay.

We loved our stay at Tony's place! It's a beautiful, sweet cabin, made for a warm, cozy winter getaway. Unlike a lot of other AirBnB options, it is independent of the main house, with it's own bathroom and fully-supplied kitchen, great for cooking. True to the other reviews, Tony's wife had a delicious bread and chocolate waiting for us when we arrived. We really enjoyed exploring the Port Townsend/Chimacum area, and hope to go back again someday!
Tony's place is a quiet, secluded gem. Great for a relaxing weekend and home base for exploring the area. They are awesome hosts and have thought of everything inside the cabin. Many personal touches and extras that made the trip a delight.
Tony's cottage was lovely. It is a beautiful hand built cottage that is extremely homely, peaceful, clean and comfortable. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome and even left fresh flowers and chocolate for us. Would stay here again.
Thank you for a wonderful stay. The bread, chocolate, and privacy were much appreciate and we loved your doggies.
The bungalow was beautiful! We came in late at night after exploring the evening in Port Townsend, and Tony was able to let us in no problem. His wife left us a delicious fresh loaf of bread and chocolate. The studio was very comfortable and clean -- perfect getaway! The grounds were beautiful as well, although we left early in the morning so we did not get to take advantage of it.
