Galway's legendary walking tour !
The legendary tour centers around the tale of the Lynch family. Its a fascinating tale of how Walter Lynch is accused and tried for the murder of a visiting Spaniard who was a little too interested in his beautiful wife to be...or was he ? The story ends in a dramatic climax...but you will have to take the tour for that finale ! We also look at the legend of the Claddagh ring with a tale connected to Caribbean pirates, North African slave owners and a gold ring that speaks of eternal love. Christopher Columbus makes his appearance too, looking for a new way to China, but worrying that Atlantis might stand in his way. These and other tales are woven together in a 80-90 minute walk through the city. Its taken at a gentle pace to bring in all the major places of interest and embed them into the story of our city. Other things to note Dont worry about it raining - we have plenty of places to hide out of the rain !
Explore the Burren on Electric Bikes
We will cycle on quiet back roads into the wild Burren on electric bikes, visit historical locations such as 10th century ring forts and a dolmen from 3500 BC, and experience the amazing flora and landscape of this protected region. We will cycle on small back roads with little or no traffic, seeing the parts of the Burren most visitors never see. We will stop for lunch or coffee and cake, or simply chat to the local people, and of course, get plenty of fresh air. You will bike as much or as little as you wish, and if the weather is really bad, there is always a Plan B! Other things to note We don't provide lunch or food/drinks, but can stop at a cafe for refreshments which you will need to pay for on the day, or you can bring a picnic to eat al fresco.

You will learn the detailed history of this, one of Ireland's smallest dioceses, where the Pope is still the bishop (that's a great story in itself)! We will bike our way around the breathtaking Island visiting sunken churches, rusted shipwrecks, and castles. After our bike tour, we will visit a local islander’s cafe, for some tea/coffee and fresh scones (an Irish sweet bread served with jam and cream). Una & John, the owners are fantastic storytellers who will share stories along with some island secrets! Afterward, you will have some free time. Some like to use their free time on the sandy beach, in the pub, or at the playground (if you have kids, they will love this playground - lots to do). If you like, you could simply bike around the island some more!
