There are lots of local village pubs within 2.5 miles of us where you can go for a drink or meal or even visit the food capital of Malton

A short drive from many wonderful attractions and activities. We are unable to take short breaks in July and August .

Nestled in the countryside just outside York, 'The Kennel' is a relaxing and peaceful retreat. This small but perfectly formed self-contained annex is set in three acres of newly planted woodland in which you can often see the Barn, Tawny and Little Owls visiting to be fed from the feeding posts, garden, small orchard, wildlife pond and apiary housing up to 4 beehives which provide us with some delicious honey. To the rear of the property is a Whisky and Gin Distillery.

A short drive from Pickering and close to the Moors, Whitby and York, the barn is great for a relaxing break. Inside, you will find a renovated living area, with a wood burning stove, Smart TV and fully fitted kitchen complete with oven, fridge washing machine and dish washer, the barn offers everything you will need for a relaxing getaway in Yorkshire.

The living space is open plan with ample space for a couples retreat or family break away. In the summer months dine al fresco and enjoy a BBQ on the private patio besides the wood burning hot tub. A short walk away is our private lake, where you might catch site of a resting deer or hare!
