Where the log burner now sits, the original boiling tanks sat, a real piece of history. We have a great south facing veranda with amazing views. The cottage faces south with views right across the bay. Bedding and towels provided. Free parking pass for the (“Homeowners car park). 3 nights minimum booking. No Pets. The property is not suitable for mobility problems due to steps. Check in 3pm. Check out 10.30am.

Kindly Light is in the old Wesleyan Chapel in the heart of our beautiful fishing village, close to the Beck where you can watch the boats come and go, and a short walk to the sea. It has been sensitively converted reusing much of the original wood interior, creating lovely light and atmosphere. It is comfortably furnished with everything you need for a perfect stay. This self contained holiday cottage offers a chance to get closer to the workings of a family dairy farm. It is situated in the North York Moors National Park, midway between the moors and the coast and just a fifteen minute drive (or slightly longer bus ride) from Whitby. The accomodation is unusually spacious for a one bedroomed cottage, it is light, warm and very well insulated but don’t forget there is the potential for noise and smells from the farm!
