Charming original stone cottage with Charente-blue shutters, in the peaceful hamlet of Perissac, which is under a 5 minute drive (or 20 minute bike ride on 2 bikes provided!) to the quintessentially French town of Confolens.
The house consists of 2 spacious double bedrooms (with very comfortable mattresses and linen), one of which has a sofa, French doors which open on to the garden, and a woodburning stove (wood provided). The open kitchen diner has attractive wooden free standing units, all basics needed for cooking, and a kitchen table which can seat up to 8. The light and airy sitting room is the perfect space in which to relax with a glass of delicious local wine and a book (lift up the Ottoman cover for a selection!). The bathroom has a corner bath with shower attachment, sink, toilet, and a washing machine. The garden is extremely spacious, with wrought iron table and chairs for al fresco dinners, and a number of sun loungers. There is also off-road parking.
